Tulip Time VIP Tour: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Beechwood Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. The tour includes lunch, tickets to Windmill Island Gardens, the Tulip Immersion Garden with a VIP tour, a city tour with stops at local landmarks including Hope College, and a trip to Holland State Park to see Big Red. $150. Tulip Immersion Garden: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Beechwood Church, Address: 895 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. World renowned Dutch horticulturist, Ibo Gülsen, sets up a weeklong immersion experience, taking travelers through the history of the tulip, from its origins in Turkey, to the Netherlands, and finally to the small-town community of Holland, Michigan. Gülsen will use 65,000 tulips of all varieties and colors to craft an experience that brings the tulips up to eye-level and create Instagrammable photo opportunities for friends and family alike. Dutch Music Organ Concert: 7-8 p.m. at Hope Church, 77 W. 11th St., Holland. The earliest organ music was composed and played in the Netherlands in the 15th century. That tradition has not stopped. Rhonda Sider Edgington, Music Director and Organist at Hope Church, instructor at Calvin University and frequent performer around the country, will share with the audience Dutch organ music from across the centuries. This year, Flutist Jayne Gort will be joining Edgington on a couple of selections. Sider Edgington intersperses the music with fun and informative commentary, helping her audience understand and appreciate the music on another level.
