Tuesday, July 1

Yoga at the ODC: 9:30-10:30 a.m. at ODC Archery Range, 5675 142nd Ave., Holland. Join us for an hour of mindful movement and deep connection with nature during our Yoga at the ODC summer series. This all-levels class combines yoga flow routines with breath-centered mindfulness practices to help ground, build strength, and release tension. Guided by yoga instructor Sierra Schuetz, you’ll move through a series of fluid poses designed to align body and mind while attuning to the rhythms of the natural world around you. Please bring a yoga mat or towel. We recommend a water bottle. Suggested age range: 13+. Guardians must stay with the group. Registration required. Program fee: $15 per participant, 20% discount for members.

Douglas Farmers Market: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Beery Field, 8 Center St., Douglas. This vibrant hub of local agriculture aims to showcase the region’s diverse and bountiful offerings at a farmers market. On your visit, you can expect a variety of locally grown produce, plants, flowers, artisan foods and more. 

sōw [in sorrow]: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. Chicago-based floral artist John Caleb Pendleton joins us for an immersive and evolving exhibition in the Gallery summer of 2025. 

Qigong/Tai Chi Easy: 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Kollen Park + Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. We will use slow graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to strengthen our mind, body connection, reduce stress, improve circulation, all to enhance our overall health. Please bring a chair. Drop in: $10/class; paid on-site (cash only)

Felt Mansion Self-Guided Tours: 2-5 p.m. at The Felt Estate, 6597 138th Ave., Holland. Explore the restored 1904 Gibson Church, the 1917 Carriage House, as well as the 1928 mansion and grounds. Please park at the wooden pylons or white-chained grassy parking area, and enter the mansion through the front door (pillared entrance on the East side of the mansion) to pay your admission fee, and then explore all three buildings and the grounds at your leisure. Adults: $10; seniors (60+): $8; children: 8+ $5; children 7 and under are free. 

Food Truck Tuesday Kick Off: 5-7 p.m. at Midtown Center, 96 W. 15th St., Holland. The Midtown Center will be hosting a weekly food truck series this Summer. Join us at the Midtown Center each Tuesday to purchase a great meal from a rotating local food truck and enjoy a live performance from a local group. Limited seating available; guests are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Guided Tour of The Felt Estate: 5:30-7 p.m. at The Felt Mansion, 6597 138th Ave., Holland. The Felt Estate in Holland offers guided tours that explore the beautifully restored 1920s mansion, highlighting its rich history, architecture, and the life of inventor Dorr Felt. Knowledgeable docents lead visitors through the estate’s grand rooms and gardens, providing engaging stories and insights into the past.

LEGOs & Ice Cream: 6-7:30 p.m. at Saugatuck Douglas District Library, 174 Center St., Douglas. Drop in and build with LEGO bricks. Stick around for frozen treats. All ages – families welcome. 

NORA Kid’s Nights: 6-8 p.m. on Washington Avenue in Grand Haven. NORA Kids Nights are returning for summer 2025. There will be activities for kids of all ages to enjoy in the first block social area on Washington Ave in Downtown Grand Haven. No registration required.

Soundz of Summer Concert Series: 6:30-8 p.m. in Downtown Zeeland, 100 W. Lawrence Ave., Zeeland. Enjoy Tuesday evenings in July with our free outdoor concert series Soundz of Summer at Lawrence Street Park. Bring blankets and chairs to sit on as this is a popular event. 

Come From Away: 7:30 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. This acclaimed musical takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clash and nerves run high, but uneasiness turns into trust, music soars into the night, and gratitude grows into enduring friendships. American Legion Concert: 7:30-8:30 p.m. at 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. As a community band, the mission of the Holland American Legion Band is to offer an opportunity for lifelong musical expression and enjoyment by providing quality and challenging musical experiences for its musicians and audiences. It is our goal to educate and entertain our audiences and to excel at what we do. Following the goal of the American Legion Post that founded the band, we also continue to provide musical support for local community and veterans organizations' events and activities. 

Spelling Bee: 7:30-9 p.m. at Knickerbocker Theatre, 86 E. Eighth St., Holland. Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience. Park Theatre Open Mic: 8-11:30 p.m. at Park Theatre, 248 S. River Ave., Holland. PTOM is a weekly celebration of self-expression and community at Holland's historic Park Theatre — every Tuesday. Music, comedy, poetry, dancing and more. DM Park Theatre open mic to perform. Hosted by Jair Driesenga. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. $5 cover. (18+ or accompanied by guardian. PTOM is live and uncensored.) 

Grand Haven Musical Fountain (Made In America): 10:10-10:35 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Our Made In America Night features songs all about the USA. Tonight’s playlist includes a variety of songs that all include America or USA in their title. From Surfin’ USA by The Beach Boys to American Saturday Night by Brad Paisley, there is a little something for everyone in this playlist.

Wednesday, July 2

Grand Haven Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at 301 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Grand Haven Farmers Market is brought to you by the Chamber of Commerce of Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg to provide farmers and small business owners an opportunity to sell their fresh, Michigan-grown and/or produced foods directly to customers. The Market will act as the community gathering place to educate and encourage healthy living within our communities. Please be courteous — dogs and smoking are prohibited at the Farmers Market.

Holland Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Farmers Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place in Downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly-picked fruits and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all-natural honey and maple syrup and farm-fresh cheese, eggs, and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, gourmet specialty foods and much, much more. 

Free Fitness Class: 8:30 a.m. at Beery Field, Douglas. Fitness bootcamp in the outdoors during summer? FUN. This fitness class focuses on full-body conditioning, building strength and stamina for everyday wellness. Participants must be at least 16 years old. Classes meet at Beery Field at 8:30 a.m. Monday and Wednesday mornings. Bring: yoga mat, towel and water bottle. You can register in person or online at saugatuckpublicschools.com. Drop-ins welcome.

Everyday People Yard Party: 5 p.m. at Everyday People Cafe, 11 W. Center St., Douglas. Come join Everyday People Cafe and take part in the Gas Money Tour as Field Recordings travels across the U.S., taking wine out of the country club and into the streets. The event hosts a DJ, wine, food, and yard games in Beery Field. Take a social district drink and handheld EPC eats across the street into the grass at Beery Field to play some games, dance, or throw a picnic blanket onto the field and relax.

Bingo Night: 6-8 p.m. at Sperry's Moviehouse, 84 W. Eighth St., Holland. Gather your friends and mark your calendars for Wine Bingo Wednesday. Join us for an evening packed with bingo thrills and fabulous prizes. From tickets and coupons to gift cards, popcorn, and scrumptious treats, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy a delightful selection of wines and tasty food options available for purchase throughout the night. Admission is free, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Live Music at the Lake: 6-9 p.m. at Big Lake Brewing, 13 W. Seventh St., Holland. Live music each week.  

Wednesday Night Sailboat Races: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Come to the lakeshore to see the local sailboats battle it out on the water. Bayshore Yacht Club hosts the largest Wednesday night racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. This is an all-volunteer organization for both boats and people. Leaving from the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club, 2157 S. Shore Drive, the sailboats head out into the big lake. They race each other around a dinghy multiple times and then head back to the yacht club. Watch from the Holland State Park, 2215 Ottawa Beach Road. 616.335.5815. Recreation pass or day-use permit required. 

Walking Tour Wednesday: 1871 Fire Walk: 7-8 p.m. at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. Step back in time and discover the story of the Holland Fire of 1871 on this guided walking tour through historic Downtown Holland. As you explore the charming streets, you’ll learn how the devastating blaze shaped the city’s past and transformed its future. This tour will visit key sites that were impacted by the fire, where attendees will hear compelling stories of resilience and rebuilding that followed in its wake. The tour begins and ends on the steps of the Holland Museum and takes place entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated. Come experience history where it happened. $5 per person for members, $8 per person for non-members. Pre-registration is required. Max: 24 participants per tour. Register at hollandmuseum.org

Music in the Park: 7-9 p.m. in Downtown Saugatuck. This summer, Wicks Park in downtown Saugatuck will come alive with the vibrant sounds of Music in the Park, a beloved 12-week concert series held every Wednesday evening through August. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Kalamazoo River, these free, family-friendly performances take place at the park’s charming gazebo, offering a delightful experience for attendees of all ages.​ Each week starting at 7 p.m., local and regional musicians will showcase a diverse array of genres, including jazz, blues, classic rock, folk, and more. 

Music on the Grand: 7-9 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 North Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Free live music on the waterfront in downtown Grand Haven every Wednesday evening all summer. Bring your lawn chair or dancing shoes — either way, you’ll be glad you stopped by for great tunes by the beautiful Grand River. The Princess That Had No Name: 7-9 p.m. at Holland Community Theatre, 50 W. Ninth St., Holland. "The Princess Who Had No Name" is a charming fairy tale that weaves together elements from many beloved stories to create a unique and magical adventure. The story begins with a young princess who awakens in a forest with no memory of who she is or where she comes from. As she sets out to discover her identity, she encounters a variety of familiar characters from classic fairy tales, including Snow White, Rapunzel, and the Three Bears. Each encounter brings her closer to uncovering the truth about herself, but also deeper into the mysteries and dangers of the enchanted forest. Along the way, the princess learns important lessons about friendship, bravery, and self-discovery. Thursday, July 3

Spring Lake Farm & Garden Market: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 312 Exchange St., Spring Lake. Discover fresh flavors and community spirit at the Spring Lake Farm and Garden Market, held every Thursday through Oct. 9 at Tanglefoot Park. This lively market features Michigan-grown produce, handmade goods, and local vendors in a welcoming waterfront setting. It’s the perfect place to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy a healthy, happy community vibe. 

Maker Mornings: Paper-Making with My Lovely Muse: 10 a.m.-noon at 41 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. Discover the surprisingly simple and satisfying art of papermaking right in downtown Grand Haven. Hosted outdoors on the first block of Washington Avenue, this hands-on workshop is perfect for all ages (with adult supervision for kids). Participants will learn how to create beautiful handmade paper using recycled materials and a few creative touches. Feel free to bring extras like seeds, colorful scraps, or threads to personalize each sheet.

Nick the Juggler: 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Saugatuck/Douglas District Library, 174 Center St., Douglas. Nick combines world-record-breaking juggling skills with an engaging sense of humor to create moments that captivate, entertain, and inspire. From mesmerizing light-up routines to inventive props like Slinkys, this performance is sure to wow audiences of all ages.

Celebrate Eagles: 11 a.m.-noon at Outdoor Discovery Center, 4214 56th St., Holland. The big party is here, America's birthday party. To celebrate, the whole family is invited to meet our national symbol in the feather. You will be able to see our resident bald eagles and their cousin, the golden eagle. Learn about what these awesome animals like to eat, where they live, and how strong they are. Plan on a 10- to 15-minute self-walk from the main entrance to the De Witt Birds of Prey Center prior to the start of the program. Recommended for age 7 and older. Guardians stay with the class. Registration is not required, but appreciated. Register and pay for all people attending the program (except infants). Fee: $6 per person, 20% discount for members.

Live Music on the Patio: 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant, 216 Van Raalte Ave., Holland. Your evening plans just got better: scenic views, tasty food and live tunes at Boatwerks. Join us on the patio overlooking the beautiful Lake Macatawa. 

Music at Sandy Point Beach House: 6-9 p.m. at Sandy Point Beach House, 7175 Lakeshore Drive, West Olive. 

Fennville City Music Hall Series: 6:30 p.m. at City of Fennville, 125 S. Maple, Fennville. The Fennville City Music Hall series continues with another great music selection. Bring a lawn chair and a picnic, or get carry-out and social district beverages at participating establishments. No bring-your-own alcohol allowed. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. in the greenspace across from City Hall, 125 S. Maple St. 

Street Performer Series: 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Downtown Holland. The popular Street Performer Series returns to Downtown Holland every Thursday night this summer. During the Street Performer Series, the entire community is invited to enjoy the sights and sounds of 25 different artists and groups while they perform free for the public throughout Downtown Holland. From musicians and break dancers to caricature artists, balloon twisters, jugglers, face painters, and more...you'll find every performance art imaginable in Downtown Holland during the Street Performer Series. The series is entirely free to attend, but tipping the performers is highly encouraged.

Live music Thursdays: 6:30-9 p.m. at New Holland Brewing Co. Restaurant & Pub, 66 E. Eighth St., Holland. Join us every Thursday in July for live music in the beer garden. Reservations are recommended.

And they are coming with some great music. Tonight’s show will feature music from across the pond from hit artists like The Beatles, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Def Leppard and more.

Friday, July 4 (Happy Fourth!)

Fourth of July Parade and Party In The Park: 8 a.m.-11 p.m. at 17290 Roosevelt Road, Spring Lake. Join the City of Ferrysburg for a festive Fourth of July celebration on Friday, July 4. The day starts with a pancake breakfast with the mayor from 8-10 a.m. in the City Hall Gymnasium. At 10 a.m., parade participants will begin lining up in the City Hall parking lot, and the Fourth of July Parade will step off promptly at 10:30 a.m., following a route from City Hall down Ridge Avenue, along Pine Street, and ending at William Ferry Park. Following the parade, continue the celebration at the Party in the Park at William Ferry Park, located at 110 Pine St. The festivities will begin with a flag-raising ceremony and include live music by the Thornapple River Band.

Outdoor Saugatuck Summer Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. The summer farmers market at the SCA is a charming and lively event that takes place in the heart of this picturesque lakeside town. It’s an inviting destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a vibrant mix of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and handcrafted items, all set against the backdrop of Saugatuck’s scenic beauty. You’ll find an array of stands and booths featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables, locally grown herbs, farm-fresh eggs, homemade jams and preserves, and specialty foods like baked goods, honey, and artisan cheeses. There are also plenty of handcrafted items, from locally made jewelry and pottery to woodwork and textiles, showcasing the town’s artistic community. You might also find food trucks offering delicious snacks, and local coffee roasters with freshly brewed cups. The market is not only about food and goods; it’s a social gathering where you can chat with the farmers and makers, learning more about the products and their origins. The combination of local flavor, community spirit, and scenic surroundings makes the Saugatuck Farmers MarketLions a must-visit spot during the summer months.

Fourth of July Parade: 11 a.m. in downtown Saugatuck. Join the armed forces, bands, and floats as they march down Butler St. on July 4. The parade starts at 11 a.m. Participants line up near the tennis courts/high school entrance between 10:20 a.m. Parade route starts at Saugatuck High School, south on Elizabeth, west on Allegan, north on Butler, east on Francis. Ends at the high school.

Allendale 4th of July Celebration: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at 6676 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale. Get ready for a day full of fun, food, and festivities as Activities in the Park returns during the Allendale Fourth of July Celebration. This community event offers something for all ages, including games, live music by Kyle Jennings, and a variety of creative entertainment such as face painting, balloon art, airbrush tattoos, caricatures, and henna artists provided by I Love Your Face and Matrix Entertainment. Animal lovers will enjoy visiting the Critter Barn petting zoo, and food trucks will be on hand serving a wide selection of tasty treats. The beloved Lions Club Chicken BBQ will also be back, along with the Allendale Fourth of July Auto Show for car enthusiasts. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Allendale Historical Society Museum, which will be open for tours during the festivities. Presented by Allendale Charter Township, this celebration promises a fun and memorable experience for the whole community.

Fourth of July Fireworks: Noon-10 p.m. at Kollen Park + Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. Fireworks will light up the sky over Lake Macatawa this Fourth of July. The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council is hosting this year’s Fourth of July fireworks at Kollen Park. Bring your family and friends, a blanket or chair, and enjoy the Independence Day celebration. Fireworks will begin at dark, but food trucks will be serving throughout the day. And be sure to celebrate and save in downtown Holland, where participating businesses will offer 20% off discounts to customers wearing red, white, and blue.

Wednesday Night Sailboat Races: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Come to the lakeshore to see the local sailboats battle it out on the water. Bayshore Yacht Club hosts the largest Wednesday night racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. This is an all-volunteer organization for both boats and people. Wednesday Night Sailboat Races: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Come to the lakeshore to see the local sailboats battle it out on the water. Bayshore Yacht Club hosts the largest Wednesday night racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. This is an all-volunteer organization for both boats and people. Leaving from the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club, 2157 S. Shore Drive, the sailboats head out into the big lake. They race each other around a dinghy multiple times and then head back to the yacht club. Walking Tour Wednesday: 1871 Fire Walk: 7-8 p.m. at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. Step back in time and discover the story of the Holland Fire of 1871 on this guided walking tour through historic Downtown Holland. As you explore the charming streets, you’ll learn how the devastating blaze shaped the city’s past and transformed its future. This tour will visit key sites that were impacted by the fire where attendees will hear compelling stories of resilience and rebuilding that followed in its wake. The tour begins and ends on the steps of the Holland Museum and takes place entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated. The summer farmers market at the SCA is a charming and lively event that takes place in the heart of this picturesque lakeside town. Wednesday Night Sailboat Races: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Come to the lakeshore to see the local sailboats battle it out on the water. Bayshore Yacht Club hosts the largest Wednesday night racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. This is an all-volunteer organization for both boats and people. Leaving from the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club, 2157 S. Shore Drive, the sailboats head out into the big lake. They race each other around a dinghy multiple times and then head back to the yacht club. Walking Tour Wednesday: 1871 Fire Walk: 7-8 p.m. at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. Step back in time and discover the story of the Holland Fire of 1871 on this guided walking tour through historic Downtown Holland. As you explore the charming streets, you’ll learn how the devastating blaze shaped the city’s past and transformed its future. This tour will visit key sites that were impacted by the fire where attendees will hear compelling stories of resilience and rebuilding that followed in its wake. The tour begins and ends on the steps of the Holland Museum and takes place entirely outdoors. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated. This summer, Wicks Park in downtown Saugatuck will come alive with the vibrant sounds of Music in the Park, a beloved 12-week concert series held every Wednesday evening through August. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Kalamazoo River, these free, family-friendly performances take place at the park’s charming gazebo, offering a delightful experience for attendees of all ages.​ Each week starting at 7 p.m., local and regional musicians will showcase a diverse array of genres, including jazz, blues, classic rock, folk, and more.

The summer farmers market at the SCA is a charming and lively event that takes place in the heart of this picturesque lakeside town. It’s an inviting destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a vibrant mix of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and handcrafted items, all set against the backdrop of Saugatuck’s scenic beauty. Radar Hill Hiking Club Hikes: 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Wade’s Bayou Memorial Park, 52 Bayou St., #22, Douglas. Enjoy a hike on the beach to the bayou trail for Hot Dog Day. The Radar Hill Hiking Club, launched in early 2021, is a service of RiverWood Council. It is an informal group — essentially an email list — whose goal is to promote the use of trails in the greater Saugatuck-Douglas area. We sponsor monthly hikes and help maintain our local trails.

Learn what music and floral arranging have in common with our lives through hands-on experience. Join our summer exhibition artist, Chicago-based floral designercarry-out John Caleb Pendleton and SCA Creative Fellow, music therapist Caila Conklin for this collaborative and multidisciplinary workshop that explores the intersection of floral and musical arranging. Participants will be thoughtfully guided through concepts of floral design while exploring musical sounds to build an improvised layered soundscape. Life is a collection of layered lived experiences, where both joys and sorrows are ever-present. How do we balance the ups and downs of life and transform them into something beautiful? Draw inspiration and reflect on your own experiences with grief and joy, while creating these arrangements. Leave with a completed floral design. Street Performer Series: 6:30-8:30 p.m. in downtown Holland. The popular Street Performer Series returns to Downtown Holland every Thursday night this summer. During the Street Performer Series, the entire community is invited to enjoy the sights and sounds of 25 different artists and groups while they perform free for the public throughout Downtown Holland. From musicians and break dancers to caricature artists, balloon twisters, jugglers, face painters, and more … you'll find every performance art imaginable in Downtown Holland during the Street Performer Series. The series is entirely free to attend, but tipping the performers is highly encouraged.

Myths + Hymns: 7:30-9 p.m. at Jack H. Miller Recital Hall, 221 Columbia Ave., Holland. In his song cycle, Myths & Hymns, Guettel paints an emotional landscape of faith and yearning that embraces a boundless spectrum of ideology and spirituality. The lyrics were inspired by Greek mythology and a 19th-century Presbyterian hymnal; the musical vocabulary sweeps from romantic art song and rock to Latin, gospel and R&B. Myths & Hymns elucidates our fantastic desire to transcend earthly bounds, our intrinsic need to connect with something or someone greater in our restless search for enlightenment.
