Trick-or-Treat on a Horse: 11 a.m. at Rise & Ride Ranch, 2855 36th St., Allegan. Looking for a fun way to satisfy that sweet tooth this year? Come and trick or treat on horseback. Ride along the special, decorated horses and collect a trick or treat at the end of the ride. $45.
Free Family Art Drop-In: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Holland Area Arts Council, 150 E. Eighth St., Holland. The first Saturday of every month brings hands-on art adventures for all ages. Each session offers a brand-new theme where families can explore, create and learn together. Drop in, get creative, and take home your own unique project.
Fall Artisan Market: Noon-7 p.m. at Modales, 2128 62nd St., Fennville. The Fall Artisan Market at Modales Winery is a vibrant celebration of local craftsmanship, featuring a curated selection of handmade goods, artisanal foods, and unique creations from talented makers. Set against the backdrop of the vineyards, visitors can enjoy a leisurely day of shopping and sipping wine in the heart of nature.
Hand-Made Pasta & Sauce – Cooking Class: 1-3 p.m. at Lulu Cadieux, 249 Mason St., Saugatuck. Beginning with just flour and an egg, you will learn to make ravioli or fettuccine along with two sauces made from scratch; a tomato-based red and a cream-based white. You will also make a salad with vinaigrette finishing with a sorbet. This class is limited to 10 people. If you prefer a private class, please call to make arrangements. Designed to teach you how to be a better cook, you will learn classic culinary techniques from proper knife-skills to mise en place to spices to cooking methods to sauce-making. The best part is accomplishing a new skill, but eating the incredible meal you create in Lulu’s beautiful chef’s kitchen is pretty special, too. The Zeeland Historical Society is excited to unveil its newest exhibit, “Foundations: A Journey Through Our Built Environment.” This immersive experience invites visitors to explore how Zeeland’s homes, businesses, roads, and public spaces have evolved, shaping the daily lives of generations past and present. Kids Halloween Party for Overnight Guests: 6-8 p.m. at 1500 S. Beacon Blvd., Grand Haven. Celebrate Halloween weekend with trick-or-treating, carnival games, crafts, and a door decorating contest for a chance to win a free night stay. Macatawa Contra Dance: 6:30-9 p.m. at Holland Area Arts Council, 150 E. Eighth St., Holland. We bring traditional music, contra dancing and community fun to the Macatawa area. Our dances take place on the 2nd Friday of each month — no partner or experience required. Suggested donation of $10.
H2 Dance: 7:30-9 p.m. at Knickerbocker Theatre, 86 E. Eighth St., Holland. H2 Dance Co. is a pre-professional dance company affiliated with the Hope College Department of Dance. Join us at the Itty Bitty Bar for a night of drinking, eating, socializing and trivia questions (about anything). We will challenge your trivia knowledge over several rounds of questions, projected onto the big screen. New teams are welcomed. Once a month, Trivia Night is Movie Trivia Night. And once a month, Trivia Night is Music Trivia Night. Check the Trivia Cat Holland Facebook page to check for event themes. Bring your friends and play as a team. Beach glass is created when turbulent waves combine with coarse sand to create a natural rock tumbling effect. Learn how to transform tin cans into whimsical earrings and necklaces in this beginner-friendly class. We'll provide a variety of beautiful tin materials, but feel free to bring your own cans — especially if you have a favorite pattern you'd like to incorporate. Knee-high Naturalists: 10-11:30 a.m. at Dragonflies Discovery Preschool, 30 152nd Ave., Holland. Knee-high naturalists introduce the wonders of the natural world to young children. Crafts, activities, books, snacks, live animals and outside exploration will be incorporated into their nature-based learning experience. Parents can drop off their 4- to 6-year-old or stay with the class. Parents or guardians are asked to attend with their 3-year-old to help with bathroom use and transitioning into a group learning environment. Suggested age range is 3-6 years old. First Friday Herd Meditation: 4-6 p.m. at Red Horse Center for Collaborative Leadership, 6169 122nd Ave., Fennville. Come experience the beauty of nature, the peace of meditation, and the resonance of a herd of horses. Herd Meditations offer peace and quiet, fresh air, and some time to slow things down with a supportive herd of horses. The herd meditation welcomes a small group of people, gathering together with optional introductions followed by a brief, calming meditative exercise. Participants are then invited to join the herd at their own pace and at whatever distance feels comfortable. No horse experience is required.

Saugatuck Douglas Holiday Cookie Tour: 1-3 p.m. at 102 Butler St., Saugatuck. Stroll through the charming inns and lodging establishments of Saugatuck/Douglas, each offering a unique holiday cookie to sample. At every stop, you’ll find recipes available so you can recreate your favorites at home. Attendees will enjoy one specialty cookie and the accompanying recipe at each location. After the tour, guests will have the chance to vote for their favorite cookie and the most festively decorated lodging establishment. $5 per person.
Hand-Made Pasta & Sauce – Cooking Class: 1-3 p.m. at Lulu Cadieux, 249 Mason St., Saugatuck. Beginning with just flour and an egg, you will learn to make ravioli or fettuccine along with two sauces made from scratch: a tomato-based red and a cream-based white. You will also make a salad with vinaigrette, finishing with a sorbet. This class is limited to 10 people. If you prefer a private class, please call to make arrangements. Douglas Light Night: 6 p.m. at Beery Field, 8 Center St., Douglas. Light Night takes place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The tree-lighting ceremony is at 6 p.m. Come to Beery Field, where Santa will greet families, listen to Christmas carols, and drink hot chocolate as the lights of the tree flicker with holiday cheer.
