Female pedestrian injured after truck pulling into street hits her
A 70-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday morning when a vehicle pulling out of a driveway struck her on the sidewalk in Hudsonville.
HUDSONVILLE — A 70-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday morning when a vehicle pulling out of a driveway struck her on the sidewalk in Hudsonville.
At about 11:45 a.m. March 31, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Balsam Drive and Winter Street on the report that a vehicle had struck and injured a pedestrian.
Police said a 62-year-old Hudsonville man was driving his 2019 Ford F-250 and pulling out onto Balsam Drive from a private drive when the vehicle crossed the sidewalk and struck the Hudsonville woman, who was walking on the sidewalk.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver was not injured.
Balsam Drive between Winter Street and Springdale Street was closed to north and southbound traffic during the crash investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Hudsonville City Fire Department and LIFE EMS assisted at the scene.
