GRAND RAPIDS — Holland Home secured five distinct honors in the newly released 2026 U.S. News Best Senior Living ratings.
The recognition highlights the organization’s performance across a broad spectrum of care, from independent residential life to specialized medical support.
The Grand Rapids-based provider earned the prestigious "Best" badge — the highest designation awarded by U.S. News — in three core categories:
- Best Independent Living
- Best Assisted Living
- Best Continuing Care Retirement Community
In addition, Holland Home was awarded "High Performing" emblems for specific lifestyle metrics within its independent living communities. These emblems, which denote a ranking in the top 25% of facilities nationwide, were granted for activities and enrichment and the community’s success in creating an environment that "Feels Like Home."
The ratings are based on comprehensive resident and family satisfaction surveys, evaluating excellence in care, service, and overall community culture. For Holland Home’s leadership, the accolades are a validation of their mission-driven approach.
"These awards reflect the intentional care our team invests in daily life," said Troy Vugteveen, CEO of Trillium Living, Holland Home's parent organization. "In following Christ’s example, we are called to serve each person with compassion, respect, and grace to foster a true sense of belonging."

The 2026 Senior Living honors build on Holland Home’s recent success in the U.S. News Best Nursing Homes ratings. Earlier this year, both of the organization’s skilled nursing facilities were ranked in the top 19% nationally, earning "High Performing" status.
Founded in 1892, Holland Home is a division of Trillium Living.
