HOLLAND — Downtown Holland is gearing up for winter as the City of Holland prepares to open the Holland Ice Park for its second season of outdoor ice skating and curling.
The 2026-27 season will run from Nov. 20 through March 14, weather permitting. The facility features a central ice-skating pond, a 700-foot skating ribbon, and a dedicated curling sheet designed for all ages.
Initial ticket sales began Friday, Oct. 16, covering opening-period open skate sessions Nov. 20-30.

Reservations for all activities must be made in advance online through the Holland Parks and Recreation website.
Open skate passes cost $10 per person and cover a 90-minute session, with skate rentals included. Visitors may bring their own ice skates, though general admission tickets are still required.
The venue also offers 90-minute curling sheet reservations for groups of up to eight people. Curling bookings include necessary equipment and a brief instructional overview of the sport's basics. Open skate and curling reservations must be booked separately.
Because demand is expected to be high, city officials encourage early reservations. Following the initial Oct. 16 release, subsequent blocks of tickets will open according to the city's phased schedule:
- Oct. 16: Nov. 20-30 (Ice skating only)
- Nov. 16: Dec. 1-31
- Dec. 16: Jan. 1-31
- Jan. 16: Feb. 1-28
- Feb. 16: March 1 to end of season
