HUDSONVILLE — Hudsonville was alive with flair on Saturday, Oct. 11, with the annual Urban HayDay.

Games, activities and refreshments sponsored by various local businesses were led by Todd Wenzel Chevrolet.

There were dance performances, pony rides, a climbing wall, inflatables, barrel train and hay rides, a petting zoo, cider, donuts and more.

“This was one of your busiest Urban HayDays yet,” said Brynn Bayle, marketing and event coordinator for the Hudsonville Area Chamber of Commerce. “The beautiful fall weather made for a perfect day to be outdoors.”

Bayle said the event has been growing each year as it becomes a local tradition.

Travis Harvey brought his family to the event for the second time this year.

"My girls love the hayride," he said.

He said it looked like this year's event had more booths and attendees, and that the weather was improved, too.

"I feel like it was a lot colder last year," Harvey said.

Weather history shows that last year was about the same temperature, but it was significantly windier.
