Carol Lou Vrablic

July 5, 1944-April 15, 2026

It is with heartfelt celebration that we announce the passing of Mrs. Carol Lou Vrablic, age 81, who departed this life on April 15, 2026.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on July 5, 1944, Carol brought joy and love into the lives of many. She was the cherished daughter of Vernon and Lucille (Sevcik) Haukom and was united in marriage to Anthony Vrablic on June 30, 1979, who sadly preceded her in death just a few months ago in January 2026.

Carol was a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home. Earlier in her life, she contributed her talents at Meijer and Windward Products, but her greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. Known for her wisdom and kindness, Carol had a knack for providing the best answers to life's questions and made every family member feel special with her thoughtful birthday cards.

An active member of the Grand Haven Eagles and the Grand Haven VFW, Carol had a passion for gardening and a love for Polka music, which filled her home with rhythm and laughter. Her love extended to her many cherished dogs, who were lucky to share their lives with her.

Carol is survived by her three loving daughters, Jennifer (David) Sanger, Laura Nelson, and Deborah Narhi, and a son David (Stephanie) Nelson, who will carry forward her legacy of love. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Rachel, Lacey, Joe, Katra, Kyle, Kaylyn, Kelsey, Colton, and Cassidy, as well as her sister, Cindy Bolt.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Gayle Gendron, and brothers, Robert and Larry Haukom, along with her son, Joe Nelson.

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the VFW Lt. Wilbur Leroy Boyer Post #3195, 5209 Grand Haven Road, Norton Shores. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Carol's vibrant spirit and the love she shared with everyone around her.

Though Carol may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
