Mary Lou Corder
August 10, 1945-July 9, 2026
Mary Lou Corder, a deeply devoted daughter of the King, an irreplaceable mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a highly respected member of the Central Michigan University staff, peacefully entered the glorious presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the age of 80.
At the time of her victorious homegoing, Mary Lou was a resident of Holland, Michigan.
She leaves behind an expansive, beautiful, and enduring legacy - one written not in stone, but forever etched upon the hearts of the family she adored, the university community she served, and the very earth she so lovingly cultivated.
Though her absence leaves an irreplaceable void, her family rejoices in knowing she is resting peacefully in the presence of her savior, free from the trials, pains, and sorrows of this world.
Her beautiful memory will be forever cherished by her loving family: son, Dan and Serena Corder; daughter, Carly Corder; daughter, Shelly and Kaleb Corder; granddaughter, Carly and Andrew Young; her adored great-grandchildren, Noah Young, Nolan Young; her surviving siblings, Weldon Rish, Charles Rish, Boney Baney, Gilbert Rish; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and lifelong friends, who were blessed by her radiant light.
She was joyfully reunited in Heaven by her beloved parents, Chester and Erma Sharp, and her siblings who preceded her in death: James Rich, Chester Rich, Donald Rish, and Judy Smith.
