Jeanne Elaine DeGlopper
July 13, 1941-July 16, 2026
Jeanne Elaine DeGlopper, age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, July 16, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne DeGlopper, and grandson, AJ Sansoterra.
She will be lovingly missed by her children, Kimberly (Michael) Sansoterra, Lisa (Scott) Lambert, Gary (Pam) DeGlopper; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Jack) Vanden Berg; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family was the center of her life. She found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved, often setting aside her own wants for others. Her home and heart were always open, and newcomers were embraced as part of the family. Christmas was one of her favorite times of year, as she took great delight in giving generously and creating memories for those around her. She also cherished churches, developing an extensive collection over the years that reflected both her appreciation for their beauty and the important place faith held in her life.
Funeral services for Jeanne will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2026, with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at The Refuge Church, 60 Port Sheldon Road, Grandville, MI 49418.

Tim Harmsen, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
He spent his final days retired and enjoying life.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Evelyn VanderKolk; dad, James Harmsen; and son, Jimmy Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Harmsen; children, Holly (Lee) Mitchell, Mike (Amber) Harmsen, Alice (Jason) Canaratt, Marshall Harmsen; grandchildren, Alexa Harmsen, Jolee Mitchell, Gunner Mitchell, Noah Davis, and Brooklyn Foy; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

David "Dave" Benjamin Reagan
December 3, 1949-July 16, 2026
David "Dave" Benjamin Reagan, age 76, of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital.
He was born on December 3, 1949, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, to the late Robert and Ruth (Dates) Reagan Jr. Dave married Mary Ann McClelland on September 30, 1972, in Pennsylvania.
Dave graduated from high school and then Pennsylvania State University with his bachelor's degree. He spent his career working as a safety engineer in manufacturing facilities.
Dave was a handyman and talented woodworker who enjoyed making birdhouses. He was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing and doing yard work around his home. Dave loved football and was a big NFL and Penn State football fan who religiously watched their games on television.
Dave will be remembered and missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Ann; one nephew; sister-in-law, Billie Reagan; and close friends, Kerry McGuire and Susan VerDuin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Reagan III.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Historic Cemetery at a later date.

Christopher Andrew Rose
August 30, 1977-July 16, 2026
Christopher Rose, age 48, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan.
He was born to Mikel and Valerie (Schell) Kinney on August 30, 1977, in San Bernardino, California. He married the love of his life, Naomi LeGrow on September 14, 2001, in Grand Haven, Michigan, and they spent over 24 wonderful years together, raising a family and loving and supporting one another.
Chris enjoyed the outdoors, often around a fire, mushroom hunting or riding a bike. He was also known for his need to stay busy; he loved to tinker and build things and wasn’t known to sit still and not be doing anything. He is a very strong and good-hearted person who had a special circle of friends. Chris would always let you know where you stand with him.
Chris is survived in death by his wife, Naomi Rose; children, Christopher David Rose, Austin Michael Rose; parents, Mike and Valerie Kinney, Dave and Laura Rose (step-mom); brothers, Michael Duayne Rose, Benjamin Noah Rose; sister, Megan Marie (Travis) Welling; brother-in-law, Steve LeGrow; step-sisters, Amanda (Chaz) Noffsinger, Rachel (Steven) Eaton, Lynzie Rose; step-nieces, Emma Noffsinger, Tiffany Eaton; nieces, Taylor Lockhart, Mikahla Oneill; aunts, Linda Schell, Gail Schell, Suzie Rose, Sherry Veluz; uncles, Jim Schell, Andy Rose, John Rose; step-grandparents, Edward and Marian Davey; great grandmother, Dorothy Rose.

Shirley Mae Waterway
April 15, 1929-July 17, 2026
On July 17, 2026, Shirley Waterway, age 97, was called home to heaven by the Savior she faithfully served throughout her life.
Shirley was one of five children born to Faye and William Ash in Graafschap, Michigan. She graduated from Holland Christian High School and married Bernard Waterway in 1948. Together they were blessed with seven children: Brian (Jeanne) Waterway, Gayle (Bob) Holwerda, Sally (Rev. Frank) Wevers, Linda (Dr. James) Olthoff, Jane (Brian) Lemmen, Jack (Jennifer) Waterway, and Joan (Tom) Genzink.
For 77 years, Shirley was a faithful member of Harderwyk Christian Reformed Church, where she served in many capacities. She made history as Harderwyk's first woman elder, reflecting both her deep faith and her willingness to serve wherever God called her.
Shirley believed that her faith in Jesus Christ should permeate every aspect of life. Anyone who spent time with her quickly recognized that she loved and faithfully followed Jesus. Throughout her lifetime, she led dozens of people to faith in Christ. To know Shirley was to see the love of Jesus reflected in everyday life. She sought to proclaim Christ's love in every circumstance, often without saying a word.
That same Christ-centered outlook shaped every job she held. As a Meijer store detective, this gentle grandmother surprised many shoplifters with both her courage and her compassion. She treated every person she encountered with dignity, respect, and grace, regardless of the situation.
Shirley had a lifelong hunger to know God's Word more deeply. Whether through Bethel Bible Study, Bible Study Fellowship, or countless other Bible studies, she devoted herself to Scripture, spending hours reading, studying, and praying. She viewed the world through the lens of God's Word and encouraged her family to do the same.
One of Shirley's greatest passions was sharing the hope of the gospel. She faithfully mentored several prisoners, writing countless letters to encourage them and teach them about Jesus Christ. Telling others about her savior was one of her greatest joys.
Shirley sought to instill a deep commitment to follow Jesus Christ in her children, and she continued that legacy with her 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and, most recently, her three great-great-grandchildren. She spent countless hours in prayer, faithfully lifting each generation of her family before the Lord.
Shirley found her comfort in the words of the Heidelberg Catechism: that her only comfort in life and in death was that she was not her own, but belonged-body and soul, in life and in death-to her faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. Her greatest desire was that every one of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and every member of her extended family would come to know the life-giving and life-changing love of Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland. The memorial service will be held at noon on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Harderwyk Ministries, 1627 W Lakewood Blvd., Holland. The service will be officiated by Pastors Mary DeWitt and Rev. Bill Lindner.
