Calvin Lee Boeve

Calvin Lee Boeve, 62, of Holland, Michigan, passed away on July 25, 2026.
He was born on June 15, 1964.
Calvin lived a life shaped by steady work and a sincere desire to do the best he could in all things. A truck driver by trade, he carried that same sense of purpose into the way he cared for those around him, showing up with consistency, humility, and a deep commitment to what mattered most.
Family was at the center of Calvin’s life. He loved spending time with those he held dear, and he found particular joy in his grandchildren — sharing laughter, joking around, and making ordinary moments feel warm and memorable. Among his proudest moments was becoming a father, a milestone he treasured and spoke of with lasting gratitude.
Calvin’s faith in Christ was foundational, and he hoped others would come to know what he believed and trusted. He loved God above all, and his devotion was reflected in the quiet strength of his life and in the comfort he found in worship. “How Great Thou Art” held special meaning for him, a favorite song that echoed the reverence he carried in his heart.
Those who knew Calvin will remember his love of family, his good-natured humor, and the steady presence he offered. His memory will be carried forward in the lives he touched and in the faith and love he sought to share.
Calvin is survived by his wife, Pam Boeve; children, Meagan (Marc) Hoffman, Tyler Boeve, Katie (Steven) Kroll, Joshua (Jessica) DeJong, and Kendra Kulier; grandchildren, Xiayu Phuek, Xavier Phuek, Ava Scott, Olivia DeJong, Wesley DeJong, and Asher DeJong; siblings, Den (Susie) Boeve, Carol Boeve, Ron (Terri) Boeve, Anna (Steve) VanOss, Scott (Nancee) Mast, Sandy (Mike) North; and mother-in-law, Alnora Mast.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and ClaraBelle Boeve; father-in-law, Erwin Mast; son, C.J Boeve; and sibling, Marsha Van Neiuwland.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on July 30, 2026, at Ebenezer Reformed Church, 5166 Ottogan St., Holland, Michigan 49423, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the same location.
Kenneth Bruce Brady

Kenneth B. Brady, age 80, of Holland, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, in Holland.
Ken was born in Muskegon on October 15, 1945, to Kenneth W. and Eleanor (Fox) Brady. He was a 23-year veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed woodworking, car repair, traveling, gardening, digging in his pond in the backyard, and working on projects with his wife. Ken was a member of Holland 7th Day Adventist and worked in Holland for years, lastly at Sam's Club in Holland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harvey.
Ken is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eileen; children, Paula (Jeff) Johnson, Heather Brady (Wyatt Johnson), Ken (Rhonda) Brady, and Brandy (Gerhard) Mayer; five grandchildren, Saige, Natasha, Nadine, Ariel, and Jenna; great-granddaughter, Melody; siblings, Joyce (John) Brink, Shar (Bob) DeVries, Sue (Dave) Wheeler, Diane (Dalys) Waltz; in-laws, Jack Gee, Norma Patton, Carolyn McPherson, Glenn (Gabriel) Gee, Gerald (Lori) Gee , Debbie Gee, Joyce Dunson, Tracy Gee, and Pat Brady; many extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate Ken’s life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
Visitation will be at noon until the time of the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
Burial with full military honors will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Luanne Kay Busscher

Luanne Kay Busscher, 73, of Borculo, went home to be with her Lord and savior on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
She joins her parents, Edward and Ella Kloosterman; her father-in-law, Kenneth Busscher; her granddaughter, Grace Busscher; her brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Deb Kloosterman; sister-in-law, Karen Kloosterman, and brother-in-law, Wayne Busscher.
Luanne was born January 25, 1953, in Zeeland, Michigan. She graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1971. She met Jack Busscher on the school bus to and from Holland Christian, and they eventually married on December 13, 1974. Luanne and Jack raised their four children at their home in Borculo. Luanne was a lifelong active member of Borculo Christian Reformed Church, having served on a number of committees, singing in the church choir, and participating in a number of mission service projects. Luanne also worked for Meadow Ridge Greenhouses for many years and was instrumental in the family deer processing business.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack, their children and grandchildren, Jody and Bill Broekhuizen (Nicole and Isaiah Uitvlugt, Emily Broekhuizen, Sydney Broekhuizen), Tami and Ryan Miedema (Samuel and Maddie Miedema, Rachel Miedema, Jack Miedema and his fiance, Jordyn), Brian and Kathy Busscher (Jackson, Greyson, Lydia, Evelyn), Todd Busscher (Chase, Karston, Hoyt, Savannah), siblings, Carrol and Jim Granzo, Scott and Lisa Kloosterman; mother-in-law, Wilma Busscher, and Jack's siblings, Larry and Peg Busscher, Val Busscher, Nancy and Norm Hoekstra, Kel and Kim Busscher, Rita and Jeff Austhof, Mark and Ruth Busscher, and many extended family members.

Phyllis Ann (Haskins) Fett

Phyllis Ann Fett, age 89, of Robinson Township, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence.
She was born on July 12, 1937, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Russell and Anna (Kerr) Haskins.
Phyllis graduated from Coopersville High School, Class of 1955. A few years later, on May 30, 1959, she married the love of her life, Eugene "Gene" Fett, in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2020, after 60 years of marriage.
While growing up, Phyllis enjoyed going to the lake and sailing often with her parents. She and Gene were "band parents" of their children while they were growing up, and she served as Cub Scout Den Mother while the kids were in their school age years. Phyllis later enjoyed wood-working, golfing, baking, knitting, and cross-stitching. She also loved to go camping and especially spending time tending to her garden.
Phyllis will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Kimberly (Craig) Douglas of Michigan; her two sons, Gregory Fett (Jong Willett) and Russell (Kristie) Fett, all of Minnesota; six grandchildren: Clay & Sky Douglas, Benjamin & Travis Fett, John (Yee) Willett, and Michelle (James) Hill; 6 great-grandchildren: Caleb & Connor Melek, Riley, Isabella, Roselyn Willett, and James Hill; many siblings-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gene; her brother, Bruce Haskins; and many siblings-in-law.
A celebration of life open house for Phyllis and Gene will be 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Phyllis and Gene will be interred at Bachellor Cemetery in Fountain, Michigan, at a later date.

Gregg Alan Gehringer of Bay City, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and savior on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Born on May 7, 1954. Gregg was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose life was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved him.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Nate Gehringer and Josh Gehringer; his siblings, Grant (Debbie) Gehringer, Geoffrey (Carol) Gehringer, and Gayle (Tony) Johnson; and many other friends and family.
Gregg's faith was an important part of his life, and his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now with his Lord and savior. While his loved ones mourn his passing, they take comfort in the hope of being reunited with him one day.
Gregg was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathleen (Matuszewski) Gehringer; parents, Gordon Oscar Gehringer and Geraldine Ann (Kloha) Gehringer; who were devoted and loving parents.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

Timothy R. Klunder, 57, of Zeeland passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Tim was born February 19, 1969, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to William "Butch" and Sandy Klunder. He was raised in Byron Center and graduated from Byron Center High School, KVCC, GVSU, and Western Michigan University with a master's in public administration. Tim first met Kim Glass at Family Fare, and they married on March 16, 1990. Tim's work life started at Family Fare, then working as an assistant in the city manager's office in Huber Heights, OH. Then he became the city manager of Scottville, Michigan, Algonac, Michigan, and finally at the City of Zeeland from 2002-2026.
Tim's strong faith drove everything in his life: his work, athletics, church life, and especially his family. Being a dedicated husband, father, and Opa was his most beloved and important role. He will be deeply and dearly missed. Tim and Kim and their family have been members of Faith Church during the life spent in Zeeland.
Tim was a gifted golfer. He was a member of Macatawa Legends and also a past club champion. He was the Grand Valley Amateur Champion in 2008, with his son serving as his caddie. While Tim has many golf trophies and championships, his greatest golfing gift was his ability to make golf fun for everyone no matter their skill level.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kim; their children and grandchildren, Scott and Bethany Klunder (Kate, Jana, Leon, Abel), Tyler and Arin Klunder (Callum), Jordan and Liz Klunder, Elizabeth and Matt Luce (Beckham, Palmer); his parents, Butch and Sandy Klunder, parents-in-law, Howie and Norma Glass, brothers, Jer and Barb Klunder, Bill and Diane Klunder, Mike and Kim Klunder, Ken Klunder; Kim's siblings, Matt and Brenda Glass, Kristine and John Robach, Kathy and Jay Peltier, and many extended family members.
A celebration to honor the faith and life of Timothy R. Klunder will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2026, at Faith Church, 220 West Central Ave., Zeeland MI 49464. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the Hoogland Room at the Howard Miller Community Center, 14 S. Church St., Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery (Original). Ronald Lee Kommer

Ronald "Ron" Kommer, 91 years young, passed away on July 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, family, laughter and stories that will continue to be told for generations.
Born on April 17, 1935, Ron's life was marked by both profound loss and remarkable love. Widowed as a young man following the death of his first wife, Margaret "Peggy" Sutter, due to cancer, he faced the challenge of raising three small children, Donald, John, and Kathy, on his own. In 1969, he married Mary DeYoung Anderson, also widowed with two children, Steven and John Thomas. They joined their families in what could only be described as a real-life Brady Bunch. Ron and Mary welcomed two children of their own, Lisa and Sarah, completing the family they built together.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Christian and Edith Kommer; wives Peggy and Mary; sons, Donald Kommer and John Thomas Anderson; and brothers, David Kommer and Thomas Kommer.
He is survived by and lives on in the legacy of his children, spouses, and family. Missing him deeply are Linda Kommer, John Kommer, Steve (Michelle) Anderson, Kathy (Paul) Hiestand, Lisa Sladek, and Sarah (John) Smith; along with beloved grandchildren, Stacy (Rob) Lott, Christopher (Morgan) Kommer, Stephanie (Rick) Plummer, Amanda (Corey) Brouwer, Kyle Anderson, Ryan Anderson, Leann (Tony) Grace, Eric (Rochelle) Anderson, Zachary Anderson, Colin Sladek, and Alyssa Sladek; plus 13 great-grandchildren, who better knew him as Papa Haircut or Pop Pop Train. His brother, Alan Kommer, plus many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends mourn his passing.
Professionally, Ron dedicated more than three decades to Lescoa, where he served as chief engineer and director. Earlier in his career, he also shared his expertise by teaching aspiring engineers at Grand Rapids Junior College, helping shape the next generation of professionals.
Away from work, Ron found his greatest happiness on the water. He loved fishing, smoking a King Edward cigar, and gathering family and friends aboard his boat in Grand Haven. Many summers were spent enjoying the beauty of Lake Michigan and cruising to Pentwater, where he proudly served as host, captain, storyteller, and self-appointed expert on all things nautical. His wife, Mary, faithfully joined him on their countless boating adventures, though those who knew them well might gently suggest that Ron's enthusiasm for the water exceeded hers by a noticeable margin.
Known by many as Captain Ron, he navigated Lake Michigan with confidence and skill. Yet his colleagues never let him forget the memorable occasion when, while cruising on a rental yacht in the Florida Keys during a “work trip," Ron managed to run aground on a sandbar. The incident served as proof that even captains have their moments. Ron may have offered a few engineering explanations for what happened.
In his retirement, Ron and Mary built a beautiful cottage on Sunrise Lake where most of the interior work was meticulously completed by their own hands. One infamous weekend, carloads of family showed up with sleeping bags and tents, uninvited. Ron and Mary may have acted stunned, but the family knew they secretly loved the Kommer chaos on the lake.
In honor of Mary, Ronald became an ardent supporter of the Walk to End Alzheimer's. For many years, he was the event's leading fundraiser, handwriting letters to friends, family, and old coworkers to support a cause that meant so much to him. “Marching for Mary," the Kommer family and friends’ team, was a cherished tradition.
Ron will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, teacher, brother, engineer, boater, fisherman, wood-shop fiddler, and friend. Ron was quick to share the family tea and the related exaggerated stories. He loved spending time outdoors at his kids’ cottages and campsites with all the people who mattered most. He was known for being a bit of a curmudgeon, a title he wore comfortably, but those who knew him best understood that beneath the gruff exterior was a generous heart and a dry sense of humor. In his own words, “whatever.”
His large family takes comfort in imagining him once again at the helm, cigar in hand, lines in the water, big fish on the downriggers, surrounded by loved ones, and keeping a safe distance from sandbars.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Gary Lohman, age 76, of Zeeland went home to be with his Lord and savior on Sunday, July 26, 2026, following complications from a subdural hematoma.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Carol; his daughter, Stephanie and Jon Van Dam; his grandson, JJ Van Dam; his siblings, Bonnie and Terry Garvelink, Bev and Larry Grotenhuis, and Diane and Henry Kloosterman; and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Jim Huizenga.
Gary graduated from Hamilton High School and attended Davenport College. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being outdoors.
A private graveside service will be held in Zeeland Cemetery with Pastor Josh Harrington officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Living Hope Home Care, 11671 Finkbeiner Road, Middleville, MI 49333, which provides care to his grandson, JJ.

Miguel was humble and kind. He was born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico. He immigrated to the United States to have a better life. He was also able to achieve his dream of bringing his family to the United States.
Miguel will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Harris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of Borculo Christian Reformed Church. He was a master plumber and part-owner of Reimink Plumbing and Heating. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Army Reserves Medic Corp. He was also a member of Pheasants Forever.
Harris is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jane and they celebrated their anniversary on February 24. He is also survived by his children, Robert (Robin) Overway, Julie (Dennis) Aukema, Jennifer (Scott) Mokma; grandchildren, Chelsea Overway (Paul), Colton (Madi) Overway, David (Rylea) Aukema, Philip (Sarah) Aukema, Michael (Miranda) Mokma, Christopher (Anneka) Mokma; great-granddaughter, Tessa Ann Aukema; brother, Julius Overway; in-laws, Betty Overway, Von (Howard) Driesenga, Nancy (Dan) Bower, Deb (Keith) Brandsen; Several nieces and nephews.

Donna Jean Parker passed away peacefully at Sheldon Meadows Assisted Living on Saturday, July 25, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Parker; infant granddaughter, Chloe Kyser; brother, Larry Boss.
She is survived by her children, Bryan (Patricia) Parker, LuAnn (David) Hamilton, Kevin (Elena) Parker, Jody (Kevin) Kyser; grandchildren, Bryan Lee (Shannon) Parker, Bethany (Johnathan) Goodrum, Erin Hamilton (Rob Downey), Matthew (Courtney) Hamilton, Courtney (Ruben) French, Cameron Kyser, Collin (Jessica) Kyser, Caden Kyser; great-grandchildren, Violet, Bryan Lee III, Elsie, Telia, James, Cooper, Levi, Josephine; brother, Virgil (Linda) Boss; sister, Larinda (Steve) Olson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Donna was a devoted housewife and mother who loved to cook and bake homemade treats. She was a diligent letter writer and card sender, and had many pen pals growing up. Donna knitted and crocheted thousands of hats for newborn babies and hospital cancer patients, as well as hats for the veterans home and police officers.
She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.

Roger Eugene Pyle, age 71 of Grandville, died July 23, 2026.
He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Dorothy E. (Mackey) and Earl E. Pyle on September 11, 1954. He lived all but about three years of his life in Michigan and was definitely a Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan.
Roger was a 1972 graduate of Wyoming High School. He enjoyed celebrating holidays, eating hot dogs, and playing Yahtzee! He was generous, enthusiastic, and a good sport.
He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Pyle of Crystal, and Barbara (Rod) Denning of Grand Rapids; nieces, Anna Denning of Portage, Abby Denning of Manhattan, Kansas, and Lydia Denning of Grand Rapids; aunt, Nancy Ooley; cousins, Lisa Johnson, Michelle Ooley, and Kristine Reed, all of Minnesota.

Grace Joanna TeBos was born on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in Lexington, Kentucky.
While Grace's earthly life was brief, her eternal life now rests safely in the arms of Jesus.
Grace is the third-born child of Samuel and Ellen TeBos of Midway, Kentucky. She is the little sister of James and Lydia, the granddaughter of Daniel and Jill TeBos and Rick and Kimberly Blauw.
Grace is also survived by her great-grandfathers, the Rev. Richard Blauw and Gerald Miedema.

Born December 8, 1973, in Zeeland, he grew up with a curious mind, an adventurous spirit, and an independent, stubborn streak that contributed to his resilience and strength.
He shared a special connection with his twin, Tim. Their lifelong closeness was a constant source of comfort, connection, and strength to them both.
Tom was not afraid of getting dirty, digging into motors, driving in the Bump & Run at county fairs, and lending a hand to anyone who needed it. He worked in the constantly evolving automotive world and was highly trusted and respected for his diagnostic skills. Seldom without his Snap-on hat, he honed his mechanical skills through his long-term employment with Muffler Man, where he also built friendships with customers and colleagues, especially Virgil Martin and family.
Tom loved the adventure of fishing and hunting, and any other outdoor activity. His annual salmon-fishing trip to the Manistee River was a cherished time to reel in big fish and enjoy the company of good friends. He loved the pure joy of travel, whether driving a big truck down open highways, riding a fast motorcycle in the wind, or feeling cool water splash on a calm lake.
Family was so important to Tom, and he was eagerly awaiting the opportunity to meet his first grandchild in August. He leaves behind his daughter, Vanessa (Warren) Hazlewood and their soon-to-arrive son, Jaydon Vredeveld, and daughter, Faith Vredeveld. Also surviving are his mother, Nancy Vredeveld; sister, Tracy (Cerry) VanFleeren; twin brother, Tim (Joanne) Vredeveld; niece, Mikayla (Logan) Welcher; nephew, Desmond (Devon) Rio; niece, Autumn (Natasha) Chorney; great-nieces, Maleyah Welcher and Rozlyn Rio, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Vredeveld, and niece, Aleyah VanFleeren.
Visitation with the family is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Langeland Sternberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland, MI 48423.
Memorial services are at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Family Church-Grace Campus, 9530 Woodbridge St., Zeeland, MI 49464, with pastor Adam Grill officiating.

August 5, 1941-July 24, 2026
Marjorie “Marge” Ellen Wiggers, age 84, went home to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, July 24, 2026, while surrounded by her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Wesley Wiggers; and granddaughter, Megan Wiggers.
She will be remembered by her children, Pam (Bart) Jager, Gail (Todd) Ikerd, Jim Wiggers; grandchildren, Zach (Kori) Jager, Seth (Nicole) Jager, Tara (Luis Virola) Jager, Trevor (Lindsey) Ikerd, Nick (Jessica) Ikerd, Alayna (Seth) Visser, Tyson (Haley) Wiggers, Josh Wiggers; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry (Arla) Hop, Tom (Lorri) Hop, Mike (Kathy) Hop; siblings-in-law, Claryce Klaassen, Mildred Boeve, Rosemary Wiggers, Bruce (Barb) Wiggers; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregiver team with Corewell Health Hospice for their care and compassion for Mom, as well as all those who supported the family during her illness.

A celebration of Marge’s life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Hudsonville Reformed Church, 3950 Highland Drive, Hudsonville, MI 49426, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior.
