James Norton II

November 26, 1943-June 1, 2026

James Norton II passed on June 1, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born on November 26, 1943, James was a resident of Sand Lake, Michigan.


Hector Manuel Rodriguez

February 5, 1945-June 1, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hector Manuel Rodriguez of Holland, Michigan, who passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, at noon, at the age of 81.

Hector was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, to Alfonso Rodriguez and Valentina Rodriguez. He lived a life defined by love for his family, dedication to those he cared about, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He especially enjoyed fishing and gardening, hobbies that brought him great joy and reflected his patient and caring nature.

A devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Hector’s greatest pride was his family. He leaves behind his loving daughters, Marcella Rodriguez and JoAnne Ocasio (Rich).

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hector Fuentes, Jose Fuentes, Roberto Fuentes, Vanessa Schrotenboer (Ryan), and Odessa Ruiz (Edgar).

His cherished great-grandchildren include Kendall Fuentes, Nora Fuentes, Kaiser Fuentes, Addison Fuentes, Grayden Schrotenboer, Graham Schrotenboer, Israel Ruiz, Nolan Ruiz, and Kamryn Ruiz.

Hector is also survived by his siblings, Rosa Rodriguez, Carlos Rodriguez, Alfonso Rodriguez (Ines), Mildred Garcia (Conrado), Ernesto Rodriguez (Thelma), Leticia Cintron (Rafael), Eddie Rodriguez, and Wilfredo Rodriguez, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Hector was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha Rodriguez; his parents, Alfonso Rodriguez and Valentina Rodriguez; and his brother, Luis Rodriguez.

Those who knew Hector will remember his love of family, his quiet strength, his kindness, and the happiness he found casting a fishing line or working in his garden. He was a man who treasured time spent with loved ones and took great pride in watching his family grow through the generations.

His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the memories they shared and in knowing that his love will remain with them always.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on June 5, 2026, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland, MI 49424, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at the same location.


Linda Kay (Swiftney) Teaford

June 16, 1951-June 2, 2026

Linda Kay Teaford (Swiftney), age 74, of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Trinity Health Grand Haven Hospital.

She was born on June 16, 1951, in Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Donald and Norma (Cox) Swiftney.

Linda was a 1969 graduate of Grand Haven High School, a retired waitress from Russ' Restaurant, and a manufacturing worker at CMA. She married the love of her life, Michael Teaford, on March 15, 1975. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2022, after 46 years of marriage.

Linda had a passion for reading, word searches, crime shows, going to craft shows, and plants (especially Hoyas). She especially enjoyed feeding and watching the birds outside (especially hummingbirds) and going to greenhouses to find the perfect flower arrangements for her patio. Most of all, Linda enjoyed helping and caring for her family.

Linda will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Ashlie (Allen, Jr.) Vanderzwaag of Grand Haven; her son, Adam (Cheryl) Teaford of Grand Haven; her four beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie, August, Jaxon, and Kolten; her sister, Candice (George) Heyboer; sisters-in-law, Barbara Deaton and Sue (Jim) Perreault; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael; her three sisters: Diana Coveart, Debra Kidd, and Sandra Columbus; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Hurst.

In accordance with Linda's wishes, no public services will be held.

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Anne Ward

April 9, 1955-June 1, 2026

Deborah Ward, age 71, entered into the embrace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, while surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Debbie enjoyed motorcycling, boating, camping and digging for treasures at estate sales. Debbie was a lover of animals (especially cats), and had many pets over the years; most recently, Jake and Lenny, who she spoiled and treated like her babies. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her friends and her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warm and inviting personality, bright smile, and kind heart will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 28 years, Craig Ward; children, Angie (Paul Musclow) Crofoot, Sarah Crofoot, Jameson Crofoot; stepdaughter, Autumn (Channing Sevigny) Ward; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother, Doreen Harvey; mother-in-law, Trice Ward; siblings Barb Alexander, Lisa Harvey, Theresa Alvarado, Gayle Cox, Dave (Vickie) Burgon; and many extended family and friends.

Debbie is preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Amber Ward; father, Wayne Cox; stepfather, Lee Harvey; and siblings, Wayne Howkins, Valerie Cox, and Laura Ricard.

Visitation with the family will be noon-3 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building) 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
