August 28, 1956-June 1, 2026

Annelle Mae Dekker, age 69, of Grand Haven, formerly of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and South Holland, Illinois, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at a care facility in Grand Haven.

She was born on August 28, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Calvin and Florence (Koster) Koedyker.

Annelle graduated from Illiana Christian High School (was then located in Lansing, Illinois) and later, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Trinity Christian College and her Master of Arts in Teaching (music education) from Calvin College (now, Calvin University). In the final days of her life, Annelle expressed her complete assurance that she would be spending eternity in heaven, her soul at peace with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Annelle took great joy in playing the organ for several churches over the years, including Grace Episcopal Church of Grand Rapids and Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church. She also enjoyed reading mystery novels and cherished the fond memories of time spent with the beloved family dog, Napster, with whom she had shared a special bond.

Annelle is lovingly remembered and missed by her son, Jordan Dekker (significant other, Ashley Anderson) of Berkley, Michigan; two brothers, John (Marilyn) Koedyker and Harvey (Larissa) Koedyker; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

The memorial service for Annelle will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:30-2 p.m. at the funeral home, as well as immediately following the service.

David Fagerstrom

August 20, 1944-May 28, 2026

David R. Fagerstrom, age 81, stepped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 28, 2026, under the care of Heritage Nursing & Rehab in Zeeland, and Corewell Health Hospice.

He was born on August 20, 1944, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Roy and Doris Fagerstrom. Dave graduated from Holland High School. He went on to build a career working in the boating industry, Chris Craft, and ended his career at Fleetwood Furniture, along with owning Sun Island and Haircare for 34 years. Dave will be remembered for his warm spirit, his strong work ethic, and his ability to talk to anyone around him.

Dave was a man of steady faith. He loved the Lord and made it a priority to bring his family to church every week, passing down a meaningful foundation to his children. Genuinely personable and easy to talk to, Dave was always ready with a kind word, a warm smile, or an encouraging conversation for anyone he crossed paths with.

Dave was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many.

He was preceded in death just nine months ago by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marcia Fagerstrom.

Together, they raised three children, Scott (Amy) Fagerstrom, Heidi (Todd) Berens, and Nicole (Derek) Prins. He was an incredibly proud grandfather to Brie (Geoff) Rouwhorst, Curtis Berens, Victoria (Spencer) Boeve, Marcus Brown, and Simon, Scarlett, and Iris Prins; step-grandchildren, Tiyana Eklund and Shaelyn Espuet; and step-great-grandchild, Tevea Espuet. He is also survived by his brother, Doug (Donna) Fagerstrom, and their daughter, Darci (Jay) and her children, Kyra and Arlie.

While his family will miss his presence deeply, they find immense comfort in knowing he is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with his beautiful wife in the presence of his Lord and savior.

Visitation will be held at Langeland-Sternberg Funeral Home on 16th Street on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 5-7 p.m. The celebration of life service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Harderwyk Ministries, 1627 W. Lakewood Blvd., Holland, MI 49424, with lunch to follow.

Dad was known for wearing bright colors and bringing a little extra brightness wherever he went. In his honor, those attending the visitation or Celebration of Life are welcome to wear blue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Church.
