Larry Wayne Drenten
March 12, 1949-September 27, 2026
Larry Wayne Drenten, age 77, of Zeeland, Michigan, passed away on September 28, 2026.
Larry was a man who loved deeply, lived life on his own terms, and was always there for the people he cared about. He was someone you could count on — whether you needed a helping hand, someone to talk to, or simply a familiar voice on the other end of the phone. He had a way of making himself a steady presence in the lives of the people around him.
After retiring, Larry enjoyed spending his days doing the things he loved most. He loved hunting and fishing, especially perch fishing, waterfowl and turkey hunting. If you saw Larry, chances are he had something camouflage on. He also enjoyed visiting with his friends and spending time with his family. He could often be found working on the pool, making sure it was ready for his grandchildren to enjoy.
One of Larry’s greatest companions was his beloved dog, Zoe, who quickly became a huge part of his life, and he loved spending his time training her, playing with her, and simply having her by his side.
More than anything, Larry loved his family. He was always there — to listen, to help, to talk on the phone, or just to be present. Those everyday moments are the ones his family will hold onto most.
Larry is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Patricia Drenten.
He is survived by his brother, Harold Drenten and his wife, Sandy Drenten; his children, Carrie Blauwkamp and Carl Blauwkamp, and Glen Drenten and Jacque Drenten; and his grandchildren, Madison Blauwkamp, Makayla Blauwkamp, Mackenzie Blauwkamp, Ellie Drenten, and Gavin Drenten.
Larry leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved him beyond words. His absence will be felt in countless ways.
Larry was caring, dependable, and always willing to be there for the people he loved. He loved his family, his friends, his dog, the outdoors, and, of course, his camouflage. To those lucky enough to know and love him, he was simply one of the best people you could ever have in your life.
He will be loved, remembered, and missed more than words could ever say.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2026, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland. A graveside with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery, Hamilton.

Patricia L. Hulst
March 28, 1943-September 26, 2026
Patricia L. Hulst, age 83 of Zeeland, was peacefully received into the presence of Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Pat loved growing up in Burnips with trips to Teed’s Store and the Hudsonville Creamery. Everything she needed existed within walking distance of home — with the exception of the man she would fall in love with and marry: Bert Hulst. Together, they raised three sons, started a family business (Ottagan Excavators, Inc.), and enjoyed life in the familiar setting of West Drenthe. More of a Martha than a Mary, Pat was most comfortable behind the scenes, quietly serving with seemingly endless energy to ensure that other people always had what they needed. Her kitchen was in constant use — giving away just as much as was consumed at home (often against the frustrations of her sons who preferred to keep the baked goods for themselves).
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, in 2013.
She is survived by her three sons, Ken and Melinda Hulst, Todd and Jaclyn Hulst, and Rev. Shawn and Susan Hulst; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jordan and Mitch Redder (Elliot, Charley, and Hayden), Gabrielle and Mitch Brouwer (Harper and Cooper), Logan Hulst, Blake Hulst, Davis Hulst, Gramm Hulst, Jayden Geurink, Hudson Hulst, Korver Hulst, Arcadia Hulst, and Walker Hulst; a sister, Cheryl Johns; a brother, Scott Shuck; a brother-in-law, Harold and Barb Hulst; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 29, from 5-7 p.m. at the Yntema Funeral Home in Zeeland. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, at Faith Reformed Church in Zeeland. Interment will be at the West Drenthe Cemetery.
Ken, Todd, and Shawn are thankful for how Mom made each one of them feel they were her favorite. Remarkably, each one of us was her favorite. Thanks, Ma. We love you, too. “She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:27-28).

Laurie Ann Mulder

Laurie Ann Mulder, age 64, of Hamilton, died Saturday, September 26, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Christy Jo Tucker and Valerie Joy Eding.
Laurie was a selfless woman who loved her family with true unconditional love. She gave of herself freely and was always there for the people she loved. As a mother, she was endlessly supportive of Jennifer and Jeff and their lives, always their biggest cheerleader and encouraging them in every adventure they pursued. She had a gift for knowing when her family needed a little extra care — whether that meant showing up with a home-cooked meal when someone was sick or simply making sure there was food and love waiting when life became too busy. She never needed to be asked; caring for the people she loved was simply who she was.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she especially cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She would do anything they wanted to do, simply because it made them happy. From picking berries together and turning them into homemade jam, to making crafts in the barn and enjoying pool parties, Laurie was happiest when she was making memories with the people she loved most. While antiquing, mushroom hunting, Jeep rides, bonfires, crafting, and spending time with family and friends. She especially loved gardening and could often be found outside tending to her flowers, with the same care and love she gave to so many people. She loved being involved, making memories, and sharing in life's little adventures. Her greatest gift was the love she gave so freely, and she leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Scott; children, Jennifer (Jeremy Whip) Mulder and Jeff (Sandy) Mulder; grandchildren, Angelina Vasquez, Axel Whip, Brooke, Alyssa, and Grayson Mulder; parents, Larry and Lorraine Eding; sister, Barb and Duane Meiste; parents-in-law, Al and Marcia Elgersma; sister-in-law, Sara and Rich Van Dyke; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 1, at Hamilton Reformed Church. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2026, at Hamilton Reformed Church, 3554 M-40, Hamilton. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Hamilton Reformed Church.

Stephen Michael Pejchl
August 15, 1966-September 29, 2026
Stephen Michael Pejchl, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
He was a resident of Holland, Michigan.
Stephen will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by those who knew him best. Fiercely loyal to the people he held close, he showed up with steadfast devotion, a strong work ethic, and a presence that could steady a room, often sharpened by a wonderfully dark and wicked sense of humor that friends and family came to recognize as uniquely his.
Stephen carried a lifelong dedication to discipline and perseverance. He was very athletic and excelled in soccer during high school, later pushing himself to complete four marathons. In time, he took up golf, bringing the same determination and focus to the game. He also took great pride in his work and truly loved working for DeBoer’s bakery in Holland. Away from work and the course, Stephen’s loyalty extended to the teams he followed faithfully: the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Lisa Pejchl; daughter, Hailey (Shane) Kaylor; favorite grandson, Ryder Kaylor; brother, John Pejchl; niece, Marilynn Boss; nephew, Brandon Pejchl; brothers-in-law, Kevin Kossman and Brian Kossman; mom, Donna (Chihak) Markakis; and father, Don Pejchl.
Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth and Ed Buehrle; uncle, Bob Buehrle; mother, Marilynn (Buehrle) Pejchl; and brother, Jim Pejchl.
A celebration of life will take place 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland, MI 49424.

Frances R. Snyder
April 25, 1931-September 25, 2026
Frances R. Snyder, age 95, passed away on September 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on April 25, 1931, to Herman and Gretchen “Grace” (Osterhouse) Oberloh in Woodland, Illinois. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Michigan, where Frances would build a life filled with family, faith, friendship, and community.
Frances attended Grand Haven High School and later continued her education at Michigan State University, where she earned her insurance certification that served her well. Frances was a dedicated lifelong learner who loved reading and learning new skills. She often reminded the family that “there are a lot of ways to be smart.”
On October 27, 1950, she married the love of her life, Lee Snyder Sr., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven, and together they started their family, raising five children. They shared 65 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and countless memories before Lee preceded her in death on January 28, 2016.
In the early 1960s, Frances and Lee moved to Milan, Michigan, where they found a community that they would proudly call home for more than 25 years. Frances took pride in her long and fulfilling career with the Jones Insurance Agency, where she worked for more than 20 years and was eventually appointed Office Manager. She enjoyed making sense of complicated insurance and financial matters and shared her knowledge with others along the way. Frances became involved in city affairs and helped establish a community transport service in Milan for those in need, and she was a member of various civic and social groups in the small community.
After Frances and Lee’s retirements, they moved from Milan back to Grand Haven for their remaining years. They also enjoyed many winters in the sunshine of Pine Island, Florida, near Fort Myers.
A woman of many talents and interests, Frances was skilled in many crafts: painting and sewing, knitting, refinishing and reupholstering furniture, creating homemade costumes, and other artistic pursuits. She appreciated the beauty of nature and carefully tended her plants, flowers, and gardens with her especially gifted green thumb. Cooking was another of her many talents, and it was always a pleasure and joy to sit at her table. Her mashed potatoes were always the first empty dish on the family table, where she and Lee hosted countless holiday gatherings and special occasions.
Buying and selling antiques was a special interest. She made many lifelong friendships through her time with a booth at the Spring Lake Antique Mall. Frances enjoyed playing card games with friends and family, and dominoes with her grandchildren. She had a passion for the card game Bridge and belonged to various bridge groups. In her older years, she liked to stay sharp by working on Sudoku puzzles and other games on her computer.
Frances was a faithful servant of the Lord and a longtime active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven, where she participated in the Ladies Aid Group. She was also previously active at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milan. Frances reminded her family often that she included each of them in her daily prayers and always discussed the true meaning of Christmas before passing out gifts.
Frances will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, protection, and genuine love for the people in her life, in keeping with her Christian faith. She was a woman who believed in staying involved, helping others, caring for her home and community, and making the most of every day. Her legacy of love, faith, hard work, and friendship will carry on through those she touched. Frances will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, and friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her three children, Lee Snyder Jr., Julia Snyder, and John (Rebecca) Snyder; son-in-law, Richard Kuperschmidt; five grandchildren, Carl Kupferschmidt, Erich Kupferschmidt, Ashley (Matt) Eveleth, Rachel (Mark) Eveleth, and Sadie Snyder; four great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Grace Oberloh; husband, Lee Snyder Sr.; two children, Vicki Kupferschmidt and David (Lillian) Snyder; and two sisters, Helene (Dick) Alexander and Lorna Oberloh.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 527 Taylor Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417, with a visitation being held one hour prior.
Memorial contributions in her honor can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Breast Cancer Foundation. Frances will be laid to rest with her husband at Allendale Township Cemetery.

Judith "Judy" Triezenberg

Judith “Judy” Triezenberg, age 84, completed her earthly pilgrimage on Sunday, September 27, 2026, and was called home to be with her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Judy was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she cherished each moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known by her family to be a strong woman of faith who deeply loved her Lord. She will be so deeply missed by those who knew her.
Judy will be remembered by her children, John (Stacey) Triezenberg, Amy (Thomas) Flikkema, Lori (Scott) Bartelds; grandchildren, Caleb (Whitney) Flikkema, Keagen (Olivia) Flikkema, Benjamin (Caitlin) Bartelds, Rachel (Justin) King; great-grandchildren, Lyla, Hazel, Miller, Baker, Summer, Adeline, Carter; and many extended relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Franklin Triezenberg, and daughter, Lisa Sue Triezenberg.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Gail Wiswedel
May 3, 1947-September 28, 2026
Gail Wiswedel was born on May 3, 1947, in Woodstock, Illinois, and passed away on September 28, 2026, in Holland, Michigan.
Gail was an intelligent, curious, and adventurous person who enjoyed learning, traveling, reading, creating art, and, most of all, getting to know people.
Gail was the daughter of William and Marion Wiswedel, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her brother, Bill Wiswedel, and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Wiswedel. She will also be remembered by her nieces, Jennifer Rogers and Jessica (Jason) Cottrell, great-nephew Owen Rogers, and great-niece, Gracie Jo Cottrell.
In her late teens and through her 20s, Gail was a familiar face at Coral Gables restaurant in Saugatuck, Michigan. She met many people there and made friendships that lasted for years. She enjoyed talking with people and had a way of making conversation with just about anyone.
Gail later worked at Haworth Corp. in Holland, Michigan, where she spent many years before retiring.
Gail loved books and reading. Her home was filled with books, and she enjoyed everything from getting lost in a good story to browsing for her next book. After retiring, she spent some time working at a local used bookstore, which gave her another opportunity to be around books and the people who loved them.
One of her greatest loves was travel. She especially enjoyed traveling through Europe and visited dozens of countries and cities, often on riverboat cruises. She loved seeing new places, learning about different cultures and histories, and meeting people along the way. She came home from her trips with plenty of stories to tell.
While traveling through Europe, Gail rarely missed a chance to visit art galleries. She had a genuine love of art and was an artist in her own right. She took classes at the University of Michigan to learn how to weave and work on her home loom, a pursuit that showed both her creativity and her patience. A piece still remains unfinished on that loom, serving as a quiet reminder of her artistic spirit and the many interests that enriched her life.
Gail also enjoyed going out to dinner and spending time at some of her favorite local places, including Clearbrook restaurant in Saugatuck and Everyday People Cafe in Douglas. There, she would strike up conversations, catch up with old friends, and meet new people with ease. Those evenings were often filled with laughter, reflection, and stories from her travels.
Gail will be remembered as someone who lived with curiosity, intelligence, and a true sense of adventure. She was the kind of person who sought out experience, valued friendship, and found beauty in both distant places and familiar gathering spots. Her life touched many people, and her memory will remain with those who knew and loved her.

Douglas Allan Yonker
November 14, 1941-September 24, 2026
Douglas Allan Yonker, 84, of Holland, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Doug was born November 14, 1941, in Holland, Michigan, to Kenneth and Irene (Abel) Yonker. He graduated from high school and entered the U.S. Army. He served his country for two years in Germany and returned home to West Michigan. Doug met Carol Dykstra and they began their lifelong journey together. They were married on July 31, 1964, at Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids. Doug also started his 46-year career at K-Line Industries, where he led the launch of invader downriggers.
Doug's passion was all things outdoors. He loved to spend time hunting and fishing with his family, especially the deer camp excursions to the U.P. in their customized deer camp trailer. Doug inherited his family’s blueberry farm in 1980 and loved the agricultural work in the beauty of the outdoors. His blueberry farm work was his true love (except for Carol). He continued to work on the blueberry farm until 2024.
Doug enjoyed boating, working on cars, and for a long time had a collection of street rods. He typically kept two or three street rods around at a time and enjoyed showing them off at car shows around the US almost as much as he loved transforming the old cars into street rods.
Doug is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carol; their children and grandchildren, Donna and Jeff Minarik (Danielle and Jackson), Dan and Erika Yonker (Alexandra and Mike Gehan, June Yonker); brother Gerald and Sharon Yonker; sister, Debra Yonker-Hecht; sister-in-law, Sharon Van Antwerp, and many extended family and friends.
The Yonker family is planning a celebration of life in honor of Doug from 3:30-6 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Quincy Place Senior Living Center, 12300 Quincy, Holland, MI 49424.
