Ottawa County invites local artists to design official 2026 'Recovery Fest' T-shirt
In preparation for National Recovery Month this September, the Recovery Fest Planning Committee has launched a community design contest to highlight the power of mental health and substance use recovery.
HOLLAND — In preparation for National Recovery Month this September, the Recovery Fest Planning Committee has launched a community design contest to highlight the power of mental health and substance use recovery.
The winning artwork will be featured on the official T-shirt for Recovery Fest 2026, an annual event honoring the positive impacts of recovery on individuals, families, and the broader Ottawa County community.
Local artists and residents are invited to submit original designs that capture their personal perspective on recovery. Submissions must meet the following criteria:
- Format: Rendered in black or blue ink, black pencil, or as a high-resolution digital file.
- Paper size: 8.5-by-11 inches (if submitting on paper).
- Deadline: 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21
All contest entries will be publicly displayed during Recovery Fest from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at The Salvation Army, 104 Clover St., Holland. The event is free and open to the public.

How to submit:
- Digitally: Email digital files or high-quality photos of artwork to cmhcustomerservices@miottawa.org.
- By mail: Send unfolded artwork to CMH Customer Services, 12265 James St., Holland, MI 49424.
- In-person: Pick up cardstock and drop off completed physical entries at designated partner locations across Ottawa County, including Community Mental Health (Holland and Grand Haven locations), Reach for Recovery, Arbor Circle, Sobar Recovery Community Center, Samaritas or 58th District Court Probation.
