The event featured more than 100 entries, featuring musical acts, fun floats and unique performances to dazzle attendees along the parade route, which wound from Lakeshore Middle School over to Washington Avenue in the downtown area.

GRAND HAVEN — Thousands of onlookers gathered for the annual Coast Guard Festival Parade in Grand Haven on Saturday morning, Aug. 1.

The event featured more than 100 entries, featuring musical acts, fun floats and unique performances to dazzle attendees along the parade route, which wound from Lakeshore Middle School over to Washington Avenue in the downtown area.

The threat of showers — which moved in before the parade ended — did not deter the crowds.
