GRAND HAVEN — Looking for a good meal to support a great cause in Ottawa County?

Look no further than The Unicorn Tavern, 415 S. Beachtree St., which is the venue for the Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority "Cheers for a Cause! A Summer Fundraiser for NORA" from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, July 15.

The event aims to raise funds for youth recreation and educational programs in Northwest Ottawa County, according to fundraiser information on Facebook.

Tickets are $35 and include a full dinner prepared by The Unicorn Tavern chefs, a first drink and access to a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. The fundraiser will take place in The Dragon & The Mermaid, the tiki bar area of The Unicorn Tavern. Attendees must be 21 or older and present a valid ID.

Tickets can be purchased online at tinyurl.com/NORAEvent or by contacting the NORA office to arrange cash or check payment.

NORA's ability to offer accessible programs for youth in Northwest Ottawa County is largely due to its diverse funding streams, which include financial contributions from local governments, program fees, and community support through donations and fundraisers. These efforts help to ensure that recreational and educational opportunities remain available to all local families, often aided by scholarship funds.
