ALLENDALE — The Fourth of July celebration in Allendale is the quintessential slice of small-town Americana, with a history that stretches back over a century.

Evolving from a neighborhood tradition in the early 1900s, the holiday celebration features festivities in Allendale Township Community Park, a classic car show as well as food and music.

The biggest draw, however, is the parade, which drew thousands of families on Saturday, July 4, under clear skies and hot summer sunshine.
