Unity Christian boys fall to Freeland in state finals; Grand Haven girls head to state quarterfinals
The Unity Christian boys basketball team has won the regional championship and will play in the boys' quarterfinal on Tuesday after defeating Holland Christian in the regional final.
LANSING — The Unity Christian boys basketball team lost to Freeland in the state finals on Saturday, March 14, at the Breslin Center in East Lansing.
Unity Christian led the game at halftime, but Freeland was able to put the game away with a strong second half.
The Grand Haven girls basketball team won the Regional 2 championship defeating Hudsonville on Wednesday, March 11, to advance to the state quarterfinals.
Needing three wins to secure a state championship, Grand Haven will take on Muskegon on Tuesday.
