Registration for the West Michigan Soccer Cup preseason tournament has officially opened for hundreds of youth soccer teams across the Midwest and Canada.

HOLLAND — Registration for the West Michigan Soccer Cup preseason tournament has officially opened for hundreds of youth soccer teams across the Midwest and Canada.

The three-day tournament, scheduled for Aug. 22-24 and located in Holland, has grown to become the largest Michigan State Youth Soccer Association-sanctioned youth soccer tournament in West Michigan.

Last year, the tournament hosted over 315 teams and represented 38 clubs; a noticeable increase from the 270 teams that participated in 2023.

The event is hosted by the Michigan Futbol Academy, the United Soccer Athletes and Holland Rovers FC — all with similar goals of teaching children the values of teamwork, developing principles that will stick with them to adulthood, and keeping them active and healthy.

As the tournament grows, more children are able to compete in the sport they love. Here is more information about the event, the locations of the games, age groups and pricing:
