Woman seriously injured, air-lifted after car crashes with semitrailer in Robinson Twp.
A 29-year-old Muskegon woman was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon following a two-car crash involving a semi-truck in Ottawa County.
ROBINSON TWP. — A 29-year-old Muskegon woman was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital with serious injuries Wednesday afternoon following a two-car crash involving a semi-truck in Ottawa County.
Just before 1 p.m. May 27, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office responded to an injury crash at the intersection of Lake Michigan Drive and 120th Avenue in Robinson Township.
Police said the woman was driving a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse was traveling northbound on 120th Avenue approaching Lake Michigan Drive and failed to stop at a red light at the intersection.
At the same time, a 2019 Kenworth tractor, driven by a 54-year-old Holland man, was hauling double dump-trailers and was traveling westbound on Lake Michigan Drive and struck the Eclipse.
The woman was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash, police said.

She suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Corewell Health in Grand Rapids for advanced medical treatment. Lake Michigan Drive between M-231 and 120th Avenue was closed for investigation and cleanup.
The semi driver was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
