3 hospitalized after two-car crash pushes SUV into house
A two-vehicle collision Monday evening sent three people to the hospital after one vehicle was pushed into a nearby residence, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
ALLENDALE TWP. — A two-vehicle collision Monday evening sent three people to the hospital after one vehicle was pushed into a nearby residence, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and members of the Allendale Township Fire Department were dispatched at approximately 7:12 p.m. to the intersection of 64th Avenue and Pierce Street following reports of a crash with trapped occupants.
Police said a 69-year-old Allendale man was driving a Lexus SUV westbound on Pierce Street when he pulled into the path of a northbound black Jeep SUV. The Jeep was being driven by a 14-year-old female, who was accompanied by her 51-year-old father.

The force of the impact drove the Jeep off the roadway and into a home on the northwest corner of the intersection, pinning both occupants inside. Firefighters were able to extricate the teenager and her father from the wreckage.
The driver of the Lexus was transported to a local hospital in serious but stable condition. Both occupants of the Jeep were also taken to an area hospital for evaluation of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact authorities.
