HOLLAND — Ottawa County’s annual Recovery Fest will return this fall at a new location, bringing together community members to celebrate recovery from substance use and mental health challenges.
The free, family-friendly event is scheduled for 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at The Salvation Army, 104 Clover St. in Holland.
Founded in 2004, Recovery Fest aims to reduce stigma, raise public awareness, and connect residents with vital support services. Organizers describe the gathering as an opportunity to build community resilience while offering practical tools for individuals and families impacted by addiction or mental health disorders.

This year’s event will feature local recovery organizations, a dedicated coping skills booth, and a live podcast recording on-site by "Not the Normies." Attendees can also participate in Recovery Bingo for a chance to win raffle prizes.
Creative highlights include an art exhibit featuring works by individuals in recovery, a collaborative community mural, and free T-shirts displaying this year’s winning artwork design.

Organizers have lined up several activities tailored for children, including:
- A bounce house and yard games
- Airbrush tattoos and bubble stations
