Bridge replacement over Crockery Creek Tributary begins March 30
On Monday, March 30, Cleveland Street between 112th Avenue and 96th Avenue in Crockery Township will be closed for a bridge replacement project on the Cleveland Street Bridge over the Crockery Creek Tributary

BACKGROUND: On Monday, March 30, Cleveland Street between 112th Avenue and 96th Avenue in Crockery Township will be closed for a bridge replacement project on the Cleveland Street Bridge over the Crockery Creek Tributary (the bridge to the east of the historic camelback bridge).

Work will consist of the removal of the existing structure, installation of foundation piling, construction of the bridge substructure units, construction of the bridge superstructure, construction of roadway’s approaches to the bridge at both ends, placement of the new asphalt surface on both approaches, installation of guard railing, and painting and placing the permanent pavement markings on the new asphalt surface.
The project is estimated to be completed in its entirety on or before Oct. 2, however, the Ottawa County Road Commission said completion is anticipated to be by the end of June. All work is weather-dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Cleveland Street will be closed between 112th Avenue and 96th Avenue. A posted detour route will be in effect throughout the project’s entire duration using the county’s primary road system.
The detour route for each direction of travel is:
- Eastbound Cleveland St.: Southbound on 112th Avenue/Eastbound on Leonard Street/Northbound on 88th Avenue/Arrive at Eastbound Cleveland Street.
- Westbound Cleveland St.: Southbound on 88th Avenue/Westbound on Leonard Street/Northbound on 112th Avenue/Arrive at Westbound Cleveland Street.
