Monday

CHIHULY: Radiant Forms: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Frederik Meijer Gardens, 1000 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. The gallery exhibition, CHIHULY: Radiant Forms, traces the artist’s evolution over more than six decades as he daringly stretched the limits of glass art. For more information, click here.

At the Edge of the Market: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. Jaer Medina’s exhibition explores the entwined timelines of humans and nature. Through shifting artworks and layered narratives, viewers are invited to reflect on time, environment, and our place within both. For more information, click here.

There’s No Place Like Spark.Lab: A “Wizard of Oz” Adventure: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. Follow the yellow brick road to Spark.Lab this summer for a magical, hands-on journey inspired by “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Transform ordinary monkeys into the Wicked Witch’s flying minions, design your own magical shoes to help you find your way home, and help Dorothy’s house twister its way to the Land of Oz. Perfect for curious creators, builders, and dreamers of all ages.

Felt Mansion Self-Guided Tours: 2-7 p.m. at The Felt Estate, 6597 138th Ave., Holland. Explore the restored 1904 Gibson Church, the 1917 Carriage House, as well as the 1928 mansion and grounds. Please park at the wooden pylons or white-chained grassy parking area, and enter the mansion through the front door (pillared entrance on the east side of the mansion) to pay your admission fee, and then explore all three buildings and the grounds at your leisure. $5-10.

Trivia Night: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Tulyp, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, 61 E. Seventh St., Holland. Join us for Trivia every Monday on the fifth floor of the Tulyp Hotel downtown Holland. The bar is open for food and drinks. It is free to play, and the winning team gets $30 to spend at the 1847 Lounge.

Trivia Night: 7-9 p.m. at Itty Bitty Bar, 1136 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Join us at the Itty Bitty Bar for a night of drinking, eating, socializing, and trivia questions (about anything). We will challenge your trivia knowledge over several rounds of questions, projected onto the big screen. New teams are welcome.

Open Mic: 7-10 p.m. at New Holland Brewing Co. Restaurant & Pub, 66 E. Eighth St., Holland. Join us the first Monday of every month for Open Mic Night in the beer garden. Hosted by Jesse, this laid-back evening is open to everyone — musicians, comedians, poets, and performers of all kinds are welcome. No sign-up required; just show up and share your talent (or sit back and enjoy the show).

Tuesday

Famous Faces - Local Places: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at 2282 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Famous Faces - Local Places celebrates a diverse group of remarkable individuals from differing eras whose time in Holland, Michigan, helped shape their values, creativity, and purpose. They are linked to enduring themes of leadership, justice, and service.

Live music and food truck: 5-7 p.m. at Midtown Center, 96 W. 15th St., Holland. Join us at the Midtown Center to enjoy community, food, and live performances. Each week, one local food truck and band will be showcasing delicious eats and lively performances. Limited seating is available onsite, but to ensure a spot, feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Entry is free, attendee's must purchase their own food if desired.

Tuesday Night Rides: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Velo City Cycles, 326 S. River Ave., Holland. Join us for our weekly Tuesday Night Ride. Every Tuesday, we leave from Velo City Cycles. Hot, Spicy, Medium, Mild, and Sweet Groups will go 20-30 miles (Hot is 21+ mph, Spicy is 20 mph average, Medium is 18-19 mph average, Mild is 16mph average, and Sweet is 14mph). Ride ends at Velo … but lots of us head over to Our Brewing.

Open Mic Night: 8-11:30 p.m. at Park Theatre, 248 S. River Ave., Holland. PTOM is a weekly celebration of self-expression and community at Holland's historic Park Theatre. $5.

Wednesday

Grand Haven Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Grand Haven Farmer's Market, 301 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Fresh, Local Produce and other delights at your farmers market. For over 35 years, the Grand Haven Farmers Market has brought fresh, local produce and other artisanal foods to downtown Grand Haven. In 2026, the farm market will be managed by a number of vendors who have been at the market for dozens of years.

Holland Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Farmers Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place in downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly-picked fruits and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all-natural honey and maple syrup and farm-fresh cheese, eggs, and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, gourmet specialty foods and much, much more.

Join us for an evening packed with bingo thrills and fabulous prizes. From tickets and coupons to gift cards, popcorn, and scrumptious treats, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy a delightful selection of wines and tasty food options available for purchase throughout the night. Admission is free, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss out on the fun — play to win while prizes last.

Big Red Racing Series: 6-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Wednesday Night Sailboat Races … now called Big Red Racing Series. Bayshore Yacht Club co-hosts the largest Wednesday night sailboat racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. You may watch the sailboats leaving Macatawa Lake and heading out the channel to the big lake. There is a designated racecourse with multiple start times; be on the lookout for the colorful spinnakers as they round the mark heading downwind. Watch from Holland State Park, 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, 616-335-5815. Recreation pass or day-use permit required.

Music on the Grand 2026: 7-9 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Free live music on the waterfront every Wednesday in downtown Grand Haven. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy summer evenings by the river.

Thursday

Spring Lake Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tanglefoot Park, 312 W. Exchange, Spring Lake. The Spring Lake Farm & Garden Market features local, Michigan-grown produce, fresh flowers, artisan cheeses, baked goods, and meats, providing farmers and small business owners an opportunity to sell their fresh produce directly to customers.

Street Performer Series: 6:30-8:30 p.m. in downtown Holland. The Gentex Street Performer Series returns to downtown Holland every Thursday night this summer. During the Gentex Street Performer Series, the entire community is invited to enjoy the sights and sounds of 25 different artists and groups while they perform free for the public throughout downtown Holland.

Trivia Night: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Tulip City Bar and Grill, 430 W. 17th St., Holland. Test your knowledge and enjoy a fun night of general trivia while grabbing great food and drinks. You never know what questions might come up, so bring your best team and get ready to compete. Entry is $2 per person, with a recommended team size of up to six people. Prizes vary each week. Seating is first come, first served, so arrive early to secure your spot.

Music at the Point: 7-8:30 p.m. at Mill Point Park, School Street and Exchange Street, Spring Lake. Music at the Point returns to Mill Point Park this Summer thanks to The Spring Lake Heritage Festival.

King Trivia: 7-9 p.m. at Brewery 4 Two 4, 321 Douglas Avenue, #120, Holland. Grab your team of up to six people or play yourself while you enjoy a craft pint of beer or cider made in-house at Brewery 4 Two 4. Free to play, gift cards to winners, and random teams.

Friday

Saugatuck Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. Support local at our seasonal market, where West Michigan farmers offer freshly picked fruits and vegetables, enjoy a wide variety of artisan baked goods, all-natural honey, maple syrup, farm-fresh eggs, cheese, and meats. There will also be healthy snacks, microgreens, preserves, gluten-free, vegan, dips, and much, much more.

Live music: 6-11 p.m. at Tulip City Bar and Grill, 430 W. 17th St., Ste. 110, Holland. Rotating selection of musicians and genres performing live in our game room every Friday and Saturday night. Time may vary; please stay tuned on our Facebook for updates.

Summer Concert Series: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Kollen Park + Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. Holland Recreation's popular Summer Concert Series returns to Kollen Park with live music. Every Friday this summer, the entire community is invited to pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and gather with friends and family for a free concert along the waterfront at the Kollen Park bandshell. No time to pack a picnic? No worries. Each concert will also feature an exclusive food truck with dinner options.

Public Star Gazing: 8-10 p.m. at Hemlock Crossing, 8115 West Olive Road, West Olive. The observatory is open from 8-11 p.m. (weather and clear sky permitting). There are no entry fees. Please be aware that the park gate closes automatically at 10 p.m. sharp; therefore, visitors must arrive before then to enter the park. Visible night sky objects: planets, the Moon, deep sky objects like galaxies, star clusters and planetary nebulae.

Join us for energizing Saturday morning yoga sessions on the edge of Lake Macatawa. These all-level outdoor classes welcome everyone in a peaceful lakeside setting. Saturday, Aug. 1

Ottawa County Fair: All day at Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 1286 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. The Mission of the Ottawa County Fair is to bring youth, young families, and adults of all ages together for agricultural education, affordable family fun, and recreation within a safe and friendly environment. There is a grandstand event every evening. Fair closes at 11 p.m. every evening.

Blueberry Harvest Fest: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. at Bowerman's Farm and Market, 15793 James St., Holland. Celebrate all things blueberry with Bowerman's annual Blueberry Harvest Fest. We'll have great food and drinks available for purchase, live music, and so much more. Free.

Art in the Park: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Centennial Park, 250 Central Ave., Holland. This annual fine arts and crafts fair is always the first Saturday of August in Holland. The event draws one of the largest influxes of visitors to the city on a single day.

“Bluey's Big Play”: 11 a.m. at DeVos Performance Hall, 303 Monroe Ave. NW, Grand Rapids. Featuring brilliantly created puppets, this theatrical adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning children’s television series is packed with music, laughter, and fun for the whole family. Audiences of all ages will get to see Bluey, Bingo, Mum (Chilli) and Dad (Bandit), as they’ve never seen them before, as Bluey and her family embark on this unique live show adventure before your very eyes. Netherlands “Klok” Runs at Noon: Noon at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. See the wonderful moving parts of the Netherlands “Klok” from the 1939 World’s Fair. The Klok runs on the first Saturday of every month at noon for one minute. (Included with Holland Museum Admission)

Sunday, Aug 2

Car Show and Food Truck Event: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The event is a partnership between JR Automation (local employer and customer machine builder) to raise money for Holland area charity organizations via our JR Automation Community Care Fund (JRCCF) team. All funds raised through sponsorships, registration fees, and donations are matched dollar for dollar by JR Automation and distributed to selected charities at the end of the calendar year. Come join us in our effort while enjoying beautiful cars, family-friendly activities and great food from our participating food truck vendors. See you there. $15 for car show participants, $0 for spectators.

Legendary Pop Star Tiffany: 8-11 p.m. at Park Theatre, 248 S. River Ave., Holland. A legendary pop star, Tiffany earned two U.S. No. 1 hit singles with “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Could’ve Been,” and set a record as the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts with her debut album. $40+. Monday, Aug. 3

Books and Blooms: 10-11:30 a.m. at Windmill Island Gardens, 1 Lincoln Ave., Holland. Join us at Windmill Island Gardens for the return of our children’s summer series, Books and Blooms. Our friends from the Herrick District Library will kick off each Books and Blooms with a story time followed by a fun hands-on activity led by community partners. Families can enjoy activities and learn about things like planting, water conservation, wind, pollinators, and more. Books and Blooms are free for all to attend. Just mention the event at the admission booth to join in on the fun. Books and Blooms will take place outside in the grass on the east side of the Posthouse. A parent/guardian must remain present at all times.

Grand Haven Musical Fountain (Fit For Royalty): 9:40-10:10 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Music Royalty is taking over the Grand Haven Musical Fountain with hits from the King of Rock N' Roll, Queen, and a few others of music royalty. Tuesday, Aug. 4

Grand Rapids Griffins: 4 p.m. at Van Andel Arena, 130 Fulton St. W, Grand Rapids. Come out and cheer on the Griffins as they take on their next opponent. Tickets can be purchased at vanandelarena.com.

National Night Out: 5-8:30 p.m. at Kollen Park + Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. "National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie." National Night Out has been a long-standing tradition for the City of Holland. Residents and neighbors are encouraged to come down to Kollen Park for an evening of fun as you get to know police officers, firefighters, as well as many other neighborhood organizations. There will be local food trucks, a DJ, plus over 25 community organizations, non-profits, and resource booths, your Neighborhood Connectors, ice cream from the Polar Patrol Ice Cream Truck, and more. American Legion Concert: 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Holland Civic Center, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. As a community band, the mission of the Holland American Legion Band is to offer an opportunity for lifelong musical expression and enjoyment by providing quality and challenging musical experiences for its musicians and audiences. It is our goal to educate and entertain our audiences, and to excel at what we do. Following the goal of the American Legion Post that founded the band, we also continue to provide musical support for local community and veterans organizations' events and activities.

Run for the Sun 5k: 6-8 p.m. at Kollen Park + Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. The Run for the Sun 5K will return to Kollen Park in downtown Holland, beside the beautiful Lake Macatawa.

Grand Haven Musical Fountain (Date Night): 9:40-10:10 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Love is in the air with these date-night-themed songs. Tonight's show is perfect for any first date or night on the town with that special someone. Note: All playlists are subject to change based on production needs.

Thursday, Aug. 6

Up Close & Wild: 1-2 p.m. at Wendt Park, 14599, 14503 James St., Holland. Learn about the reptiles, amphibians, and birds that can be found in Michigan with a naturalist from the Outdoor Discovery Center. Live animals will be used in this family-friendly presentation that is great for all ages. Time to handle some of the wildlife may be conducted during the program or at its conclusion, depending on the size of the audience. All ages welcome. Guardians stay with the class. Raise A Mug, Rootbeer Float Event: 5-8 p.m. at Holland Area Arts Council, 150 E. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Area Arts Council and Community Action House are proud to collaborate on our Raise A Mug event as two local nonprofit organizations dedicated to building a stronger, more connected community. Bringing people together while supporting access to the arts and essential community resources, this community-focused celebration reflects the mission and spirit of both organizations. Summer Music Series, Gemini Moon: 6:30-9 p.m. at New Holland Brewing Co. Restaurant & Pub, 66 E. Eighth St., Holland. Spend a summer evening in the beer garden with live music from Gemini Moon. Grab a drink, relax outdoors, and enjoy great tunes in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Perfect for unwinding with friends and soaking up the summer vibes. Free.

Get Smart: 6 p.m. at Holland Community Theatre, 50 W. Ninth St., Holland. In this Teen Production, chaos reigns — literally. When bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart is called in to save the world from the evil organization KAOS he needs the help of the clever and capable Agent 99, to recover a stolen device, outwit the enemy, and somehow keep his shoe phone in working order. Then we will turn around and paddle back to the park. This river has a slow current, making this an ideal paddle for an inexperienced paddler or someone looking for a relaxed paddle. Botanical Printing and Watercolor: 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Holland Area Arts Council, 150 E. Eighth St., Holland. In this workshop, we will create a watercolor wash on watercolor paper. We will do this by using paints, metallic powders, and salt. After the wash has dried, we will print large leaves onto the background and create a slice of nature you can bring into your home. We will warm up by experimenting with different weights of watercolor papers and different sizes. This is a relaxing project that offers many outcomes. $75.

Crafts, activities, books, snacks, live animals, and outside exploration will be incorporated into their nature-based learning experience. Parents can drop off their 4- 6-year-old or stay with the class. Parents or guardians are asked to attend with their 3-year-old to help with bathroom use and transitioning into a group learning environment. Suggested age range is 3-6 years old. Guardians drop children off or stay with the class. Registration is required. Register and pay for attending children only (except infants). Fee: $10 per child, $5 for members.

Walk with one of our naturalists who will guide you through the trails. Our naturalist will help you learn identification techniques and more while identifying birds on the walk. Bark in the Park: 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Windmill Island Gardens, 1 Lincoln Ave., Holland. The fourth annual Bark in the Park event is back at Windmill Island Gardens again this summer, and it is the place every dog in town will want to be on Saturday, Aug. 22, the Saturday before National Dog Day. Celebrate your dog’s special day with us to find all the best places in town to bring your pup. Find groomers, trainers, animal hospitals, tasty treats, accessories, and more from local organizations. Pet paw-rents can even find accessories for themselves from local creators. $13.

Butterfly Bonanza: 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Bysterveld Park 4171 14th St., Wayland. Explore the art and science of catching butterflies. Become amateur lepidopterists as we spend the morning in the meadow. Learn proper netting techniques, safe and humane insect capture, and methods for recording and studying butterfly specimens. Speaker Series, Pope Leo XIV: 7-8:30 p.m. at Historic Ottawa Beach Pump House Museum, 2282 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Elizabeth McEwen, the executive director of the Felt Mansion between Saugatuck and Macatawa Park, which once held St. Augustine Seminary High School, where the man who became Pope Leo XIV graduated high school in 1973. McEwen has learned that the grounds in Allegan County will become part of a pilgrimage to honor and learn more about the first American pope. Doors open at 6 p.m., presentation begins at 7 p.m.
