“CHIHULY: Radiant Forms”: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Frederik Meijer Gardens, 1000 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. The gallery exhibition, “CHIHULY: Radiant Forms,” traces the artist’s evolution over more than six decades as he daringly stretched the limits of glass art. For more information, click here.

There’s No Place Like Spark.Lab: A “Wizard of Oz” Adventure: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. through Sept. 14 at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. Follow the yellow brick road to Spark.Lab this summer for a magical, hands-on journey inspired by “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Transform ordinary monkeys into the Wicked Witch’s flying minions, design your own magical shoes to help you find your way home, and help Dorothy’s house twister its way to the Land of Oz. Perfect for curious creators, builders, and dreamers of all ages.

Felt Mansion Self-Guided Tours: 2-7 p.m. at The Felt Estate, 6597 138th Ave., Holland. Explore the restored 1904 Gibson Church, the 1917 Carriage House, as well as the 1928 mansion and grounds. Please park at the wooden pylons or the white-chained grassy parking area, and enter the mansion through the front door (pillared entrance on the East side of the mansion) to pay your admission fee, and then explore all three buildings and the grounds at your leisure. $5-10.

Trivia Night: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Tulyp, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, 61 E. Seventh St., Holland. Join us for trivia every Monday on the fifth floor of the Tulyp Hotel in downtown Holland. The bar is open for food and drinks. It is free to play and the winning team gets $30 to spend at the 1847 Lounge.

Trivia Night: 7-9 p.m. at Itty Bitty Bar, 1136 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Join us at the Itty Bitty Bar for a night of drinking, eating, socializing and trivia questions (about anything). We will challenge your trivia knowledge over several rounds of questions, projected onto the big screen. New teams are welcome.

Open Mic: 7-10 p.m. at New Holland Brewing Co. Restaurant & Pub, 66 E. Eighth St., Holland. Join us the first Monday of every month for Open Mic Night in the beer garden. Hosted by Jesse, this laid-back evening is open to everyone — musicians, comedians, poets, and performers of all kinds are welcome. No sign-up required; just show up and share your talent (or sit back and enjoy the show).

Famous Faces - Local Places celebrates a diverse group of remarkable individuals from differing eras whose time in Holland, Michigan, helped shape their values, creativity and purpose. They are linked to enduring themes of leadership, justice, and service.

Each week, one local food truck and band will be showcasing delicious eats and lively performances. Limited seating is available onsite, but to ensure a spot, feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Entry is free; attendees must purchase their own food if desired.

Tuesday Night Rides: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Velo City Cycles, 326 S. River Ave., Holland. Join us for our weekly Tuesday Night Ride. Every Tuesday, we leave from Velo City Cycles. Hot, Spicy, Medium, Mild, and Sweet Groups will go 20-30 miles (Hot is 21+ mph, Spicy is 20 mph average, Medium is 18-19 mph average, Mild is 16 mph average, and Sweet is 14 mph). Ride ends at Velo … but lots of us head over to Our Brewing.

Tuesday Tunes: 6:30-9 p.m. at New Holland Brewing Co. Restaurant & Pub, 66 E. Eighth St., Holland. Make the most of your summer evenings with Tuesday Tunes. Join us on the back patio for live music, great food, cold drinks, and a relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for dinner, drinks with friends, or just to enjoy the music, Tuesday Tunes is the perfect way to spend a summer night.

Vinyl Night: 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Grand Armory Brewing, 17 S. Second St., Grand Haven. Bring Your Own Vinyl and share your favorite records, or just relax with a pint and enjoy the vinyl we’re spinning. Wednesday

Grand Haven Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Grand Haven Farmers Market, 301 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Fresh, Local Produce and other delights at your farmers market. For over 35 years, the Grand Haven Farmers Market has brought fresh, local produce and other artisanal foods to downtown Grand Haven. In 2026, the farmers market will be managed by a number of vendors who have been at the market for dozens of years.

Holland Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Farmers Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place in downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly picked fruits and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all-natural honey and maple syrup and farm-fresh cheese, eggs, and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, gourmet specialty foods and much, much more.

Big Red Racing Series: 6-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Wednesday Night Sailboat Races … now called Big Red Racing Series. Bayshore Yacht Club co-hosts the largest Wednesday night sailboat racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. You may watch the sailboats leaving Macatawa Lake and heading out the channel to the big lake. There is a designated racecourse with multiple start times; be on the lookout for the colorful spinnakers as they round the mark heading downwind. Watch from Holland State Park, 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, 616-335-5815. Recreation pass or day-use permit required.

Live music at the Lake: 6-9 p.m. at Big Lake Brewing, 13 W. Seventh St., Holland. Come on out and enjoy live music on our award-winning patio. Free.

Trivia Night: 7-9 p.m. at Coopersville Brewing Co., 1275 W. Randall St., Coopersville. Join us every Wednesday for trivia. Special guest hosts take the mic some weeks, while Big Mike keeps the fun going on the off weeks. Test your knowledge, bring your team, and compete for gift cards.

Thursday

Spring Lake Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tanglefoot Park, 312 W. Exchange, Spring Lake. The Spring Lake Farm & Garden Market features local, Michigan-grown produce, fresh flowers, artisan cheeses, baked goods, and meats, providing farmers and small business owners an opportunity to sell their fresh produce directly to customers.

Holland Recreation's popular Summer Concert Series returns to Kollen Park with live music. Every Friday this summer, the entire community is invited to pack a picnic, grab a blanket, and gather with friends and family for a free concert along the waterfront at the Kollen Park bandshell. No time to pack a picnic? No worries. Each concert will also feature an exclusive food truck with dinner options.

Live music: 7-10 p.m. at New Holland Tasting Room, 24 S. Washington Ave., Grand Haven. Kick off the weekend with live music, craft cocktails, and the perfect Friday night atmosphere at New Holland Distilling Co. Join us Fridays for rotating local musicians, laid-back energy, and all your favorite New Holland spirits and cocktails. Whether you're settling in for the evening or stopping by for a nightcap, Friday night sessions are the place to start your weekend.

Public Stargazing: 8-10 p.m. at Hemlock Crossing, 8115 West Olive Road, West Olive. The observatory is open from 8-11 p.m. (weather and clear skies permitting). There are no entry fees. Please be aware that the park gate closes automatically at 10 p.m. sharp; therefore, visitors must arrive before then to enter the park. Visible night sky objects: planets, the Moon, deep sky objects like galaxies, star clusters and planetary nebulae.

Praise by the Pier: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Grand Haven has been worshipping on the waterfront since 1947 and we are keeping the tradition alive with Praise by the Pier.

Up Close and Wild: 1-2 p.m. at Virginia Park, 669 Harrington Ave., Holland. Learn about the reptiles, amphibians and birds that can be found in Michigan with a naturalist from the Outdoor Discovery Center. Live animals will be used in this family-friendly presentation that is great for all ages. Tots at Tri-Cities: 10-11 a.m. at Tri-Cities Historical Museum, 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. It’s not your average story hour. Come play with us at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum as we dive into books, materials, and the Museum itself. Set your wheels of curiosity in motion with a new theme each month. Tots at Tri-Cities is our first program series for our preschool-aged explorers. Free. “Tots” is offered on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 am. Program run time is approximately 30 minutes. A one-minute registration is required, and children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire session.

Plein Air Watercolor Landscapes: 5:30-8 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. Paint watercolor landscapes at the lakeshore with Holland artist Bryanna Manning. Learn basic watercolor techniques, color harmonies, and observational drawing and painting skills. Leave with all the skills and inspiration you need to continue painting all summer long. $65. Summer Walking Tour: Shadows in the Streets: A True Crime Downtown Walking Tour: 10 a.m.-noon at Brass River/Sundial, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Embark on a riveting journey through the heart of downtown Grand Haven with our "Shadows in the Streets" True Crime Walking Tour. Peel back the layers of history as we shine a spotlight on the dark and mysterious tales of murder, bank robbery, and theft that echo through our landscape. This immersive walking tour is a captivating blend of history and true crime, offering participants a chance to connect with the city's darker past. Join Jeanette Weiden and uncover the shadows that lurk beneath the city's surface. The tour will start at the sundial at the intersection of Washington Street and South Harbor Drive near the Waterfront Stadium. The tour is on a paved sidewalk and is accessible by stroller and wheelchair.

Autumn Olive Removal: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Littlejohn Lake Park, 3540 113th Ave., Allegan. Volunteer with the Allegan Conservation District for the opportunity to help remove autumn olive, an invasive shrub threatening our local ecosystems. During this program, you’ll learn to identify autumn olive, understand why it is harmful to native habitats, and discover how it spreads aggressively to outcompete native plants and reduce biodiversity. You’ll receive training on how to properly remove or manage autumn olive to help restore healthy natural areas. No experience is necessary — just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to make a meaningful impact outdoors. We recommend bringing a water bottle and wearing clothes that can get dirty. All other materials will be provided. For ages 12 and up. Guardians stay with the group. Registration not required, but appreciated. Click here to register.

Art on the Island: 6-8 p.m at Windmill Island Gardens, 1 Lincoln Ave., Holland. The annual Art on the Island Gala will be back. Come enjoy the beauty of Windmill Island Gardens through inspired artwork created by local artists in categories of Photography, Plein Air, and Best of the Rest, and if you see a piece you love, all the artwork will be for sale. All artwork will be evaluated and awarded prizes by our judge, but we invite you to attend and vote for your favorite piece in a People’s Choice vote, too. Admission to this event is free, so come visit us to enjoy amazing artwork, beautiful scenery, a cash bar with locally made beer and wine, and appetizers from local caterers.

Wine and Canvas Ghostly Flowers: 6-8:30 p.m. at New Holland Brewing Co. Restaurant and Pub, 66 E. Eighth St., Holland. Uncork your creativity at Wine and Canvas. Enjoy a relaxing evening of painting, sipping, and socializing as a local artist guides you step-by-step to create your own masterpiece. No experience necessary — just bring your friends, grab a glass of wine, and get ready for a fun and inspiring night. $40.

Why Not Me Too: 7 p.m. at Saugatuck Center for the Arts, 400 Culver St., Saugatuck. Have you ever cried while wearing roller skates? Probably not as many times as Payton Reilly. Why Not Me Too is a sharp, heartfelt comedy (trauma-dy?) about rejection, resilience, and everything in between. The Found Cottage Mercantile Market: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Ottawa County Fairgrounds, 1286 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Explore over 150 unique vendors featuring vintage and antiques, clothing and homemade treasures, plus delicious food trucks. Join us for two days at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds for the seventh year of the Found Cottage Mercantile Market. Early buyer tickets online (market access Friday and Saturday): $20. Bird Hike: 9:30-11 a.m. at Upper Macatawa Natural Area, 1300 84th Ave., Zeeland. Join us for a morning birding hike around a local birding hotspot. Walk with one of our naturalists who will guide you through the trails. Our naturalist will help you learn identification techniques and more while identifying birds on the walk. All experience levels are welcome. Binoculars will be provided. It is suggested to download Merlin Bird ID and eBird, but not required. For ages 10 and up. Guardians stay with the class. Knee-high Naturalists: 10-11:30 a.m. at Outdoor Discovery Center, 4214 56th St., Holland. Knee-high Naturalists introduce the wonders of the natural world to young children. Crafts, activities, books, snacks, live animals, and outside exploration will be incorporated into their nature-based learning experience. Parents can drop off their 4- to 6-year-old or stay with the class. Parents or guardians are asked to attend with their 3-year-old to help with bathroom use and transitioning into a group learning environment. Suggested age range is 3-6 years old. Guardians drop children off or stay with the class. Registration is required. Register and pay for attending children only (except infants). Fee: $10 per child, $5 for members.

Master Spas Show: 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at LMCU Ballpark, 4500 W. River Drive NE, Comstock Park. Free admission and free parking.

Dixon's Violin, Visionary Violin: 7-8:30 p.m. at Park Theatre, 248 S. River Ave., Holland. Experience the extraordinary. Join us for a rare evening of breathtaking violin as you've never heard before, as seen across North America and beyond. We’ll gather at the Third Street Bridge at 9 a.m. to begin the walk together, making our way across the bridge and along the waterfront. The route takes participants all the way out to the end of the Grand Haven Pier for a turnaround before concluding at Waterfront Stadium in downtown Grand Haven. Prize drawings will be held at the end of the walk, so plan to stay and enjoy the celebration. This event is free and open to all ages. Holland/Zeeland Labor Day Truck Parade: 9:15-10:15 a.m. in downtown Zeeland. Bring your earplugs and an appetite for big rigs and free ice cream to the Annual Labor Day Truck Parade. Morgan Vineyard: Concord U-Pick: 7 a.m.-3 p.m. at Morgan Vineyard, 15761 40th Ave., Coopersville. Concord is the only variety we grow specifically for fresh eating, juice, jelly, and sweet wines. This season, we are opening the rows for one Saturday only. Spend a Saturday morning in the rows, pick your own Concord grapes, and take home fruit for juice, jelly, sweet wine, or fresh eating. Every variety we grow besides Concord is a wine grape. Thicker skins and seeds make them less ideal for fresh snacking, but they press into sweet, delicious juice — and of course, beautiful homemade wine. $1/pound.

Public parking for visitors is located at 858 E. 24th St., Holland. From there, visitors will be taken via shuttle to the entrance of the park. This community event is free to all.

LMCU Bridge Run and Bib Pickup: 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at LMCU Ballpark, 4500 W River Drive NE, Comstock Park. We are excited to bring back Kids Dash with Crash, which will take place at 11:50 a.m. at LMCU Ballpark. The event will feature a 200-meter and 400-meter option; kids will be able to select one or both. Bib pickup for the Sunday event will occur at the LMCU Ballpark from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., so come pick up your bib and stay to cheer your future track star on.
