GRAND HAVEN TWP. — A new wave of first responders is set to bolster emergency services in Ottawa County following the graduation of Life EMS Ambulance’s inaugural Emergency Medical Technician class on Friday afternoon.
The commencement, held at the Grand Haven Township Fire Department, marks a significant milestone in Life EMS's recent expansion into the greater Grand Haven area.
Nine students completed the rigorous 14-week training program, which initially began with 13 local candidates. The graduating cohort includes three current Life EMS associates who will now transition into their new roles on the front lines of local emergency care.
The training program was launched earlier this year in direct partnership with the Grand Haven Township Fire Department. The initiative aims to build a sustainable, localized pipeline of emergency medical personnel to support Life EMS’s newly acquired territory.
