Connie Dee Dinnan

August 22, 1956-April 13, 2026

Connie Dee Dinnan passed away peacefully on April 13 after a long battle with cancer.

Connie was a loving, quirky, and deeply creative soul. While many described her as an amazing artist, she preferred the terms “creative” or “creator,” believing that better captured the depth of her imagination and spirit. She was constantly dreaming up new projects, whether an art piece or a home renovation for herself or her daughters. Creativity was at the heart of who she was; each day brought a new idea, or a new spark of an idea. Even in her final days, her mind remained vibrant with inspiration.

Connie cherished both learning and teaching. She earned two bachelor’s degrees and, at one time, aspired to become a teacher. Though her path changed, she lived her life through color, curiosity, and joy, always following what brought her happiness.

Connie was a devoted mother to Nina Keomouangchanh and Hillary Cobb (son-in-law Joseph Green). She was also a proud and loving grandmother, “gma” to Skyla Keomouangchanh, Ainoi Keomouangchanh, Thana Keomouangchanh, David DeHoek, Xenophon Green, and Iris Green, all of whom brought her immense joy and were a cherished part of her life.

Connie is survived by her children and grandchildren; her siblings, Oliva (John) Garner, Bill (Faith) Dinnan Jr., Pam O'Shaughnessey, and Jim (Cheryl) Dinnan; as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Cobb; her parents, Olive and Bill Dinnan Sr.; her brother, Tim Dinnan; and her son-in-law, Jimmy Keomouangchanh.

She will be remembered for her boundless creativity, her deep love for family, and the light she brought into the lives of those around her.

In lieu of flowers, Connie requested that donations be made to Big Jackson Public School.

Big Jackson Public School, a K-5 district established in 1894, held a special place in Connie’s heart, as this is the school that her grandson David attends and loves. The school continues to serve its community by providing individualized attention and support to each student. Donations in Connie’s memory are greatly appreciated.

Gloria Gay Edwards

March 5, 1944-April 10, 2026

Gloria Gay Edwards, 82, of Eagle River, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Lakeside Side Vista in Holland, Michigan, near her son.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 5, 1944, Gloria’s life was marked by steady devotion — to family, to those in her care, and to the simple comforts that made everyday moments feel a little brighter.

Gloria was born to Grant “Bud” Talmadge and Marguerite Palmer in March of 1944, and she was raised by Joseph J. Casey and Marguerite Palmer Casey.

Over the years, Gloria found purpose in caring for others through her work as a nurse’s aid. That same giving spirit shaped the way she lived beyond her work, expressed in the love she held for her family and in the warmth she extended to those around her.

An avid animal lover, Gloria had a special tenderness for dogs, cats, and rabbits—and at one time even had a house broken pig. She also enjoyed Bingo and the slots, and in more recent days she found particular delight in Hallmark movies, which became her latest favorite pastime.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly L Edwards; her parents, Joseph and Marguerite Casey; her brother, Joseph Casey, Jr.; her sister, Charlotte; and her daughter, Renee (Scott) Rackley.

Gloria is survived by her son, David (Laura); six grandchildren, Tiffany, Dryw, Meagan, Gabby, David Jr., and Connor; three great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Greyson, and Tobin; her brother, Stan; and her sisters, Joann and Jane.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Gloria’s name to the Humane Society of Vilas County.

David Joseph Kaiser

July 29, 1941-April 8, 2026

David Joseph Kaiser, 84, passed away on April 8, 2026, in Powell, Ohio.

Born on July 29, 1941, in Royal Oak, Michigan, to Anthony and Adelaide Kaiser.  David lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity, determination, and a unique sense of humor.

David pursued an impressive academic journey that began with earning a high school diploma at Muskegon Catholic Central High School and then on to a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Detroit. He continued his education with a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering (MSNE) from the University of Michigan. With this degree, he was able to work at General Dynamics Boat on the first nuclear-powered submarine training reactor. He later received an MBA from The Ohio State University. His dedication to education and innovation was evident throughout his career. Most of his career was working for the Air Force at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Strategic Planning.

David was the founder of Offshore Electric, a company that sought to revolutionize energy production through the concept of offshore nuclear power stations. His vision was ahead of its time; however, following the Three Mile Island incident, investor interest waned. Despite this setback, David's pioneering spirit and forward-thinking ideas left an indelible mark on those who worked alongside him.
Outside of his professional endeavors, David found joy in sailing and homesteading. He cherished living in the country, where he could embrace a simpler way of life. Those who knew him will remember his serious demeanor tempered by a wry sense of humor and his steadfast determination.

David is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy; his children, Tim Kaiser (Yanna), Patrick Kaiser, Annemarie Hand (Mike), Christine Bonasso (Chris), and Kathleen Whipp (Doug); his grandchildren, Tim K Jr., Samantha K, Rachel B, Ethan H, Michael B, Samuel B, John(Jack) B, Daniel, Rachel K, Michael K, Anthony W, Eve W, and Mark Y; and David’s siblings: Mary Donev, Jim Kaiser, sister Kathleen Kaiser, and Don Kaiser.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Kaiser and Dennis Kaiser, as well as his sister, Adelaide Deskovitz.

May David’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him and inspire others to pursue their passions with courage and conviction.

William "Bob" Wolniakowski

February 16, 1930-April 13, 2026

William “Bob” Wolniakowski lived a life shaped by faith, service, hard work, and deep devotion to the people he loved.

Born in Grand Haven in 1930 to Stephen and Antoinette Wolniakowski, he grew up in a close‑knit community that nurtured the values he carried throughout his life. After graduating from Grand Haven High School, he attended Muskegon College until he was called to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. His bravery and dedication were recognized with the awarding of the Silver Star, an honor he accepted with characteristic humility. In April 2018, Bob was the recipient of the Honor Flight and was flown to Washington, D.C., where he was escorted on a visit to national memorials and honored for his service and sacrifices.

In 1954, he married the love of his life, Wilma Vermeer, beginning a 70‑year partnership filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they raised three children — Robert (Jean), Steven (Sandy) and Patricia (Kevin) Frantz — and their family grew to include eleven grandchildren and twelve great‑grandchildren, each one a treasured source of pride and joy.

Bob’s career path was long and varied, reflecting his strong work ethic and commitment to community. He worked with Hostetters and Construction Aggregate before he and Wilma became the proud owners and operators of the Seaway Party Store in Grand Haven. For more than thirty years, Bob welcomed customers with warmth, humor, and genuine care, creating a place where people felt known and valued. He retired at age 70, grateful for the friendships and memories built over decades. In 2022, former employees organized a celebration to honor his mentorship and impact. The many heartfelt tributes shared that day were received by Bob with gratitude and humility.

Faith was a guiding force throughout his life. As a young boy, he served as an altar server at St. Patrick’s/St. Anthony Church — the same church where he and Wilma later married. He later became a devoted member of St. Mary’s in Spring Lake, where he continued to live out his beliefs through service and community involvement.

Above all, Bob found joy in celebrating life with his loving wife and family. He cherished gatherings, milestones, and the everyday moments that filled their home with love and laughter.

He was proud to be a lifetime member of the American Legion, Eagles, VFW, and Knights of Columbus, organizations that reflected his lifelong commitment to service, camaraderie, and community. Bob and Wilma also enjoyed their time as members of the Riviera Yacht Club, where he served a term as Commodore.

Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Roman and Helen, and is now reunited with them in peace.

The family would like to thank and acknowledge American House Assisted Living and Emmanuel Hospice for their dedicated and loving care.

A memorial mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment and military honors will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be given to Emmanuel Hospice.
