Gord Duimstra
February 1, 1940-June 6, 2026
Gord Duimstra went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 6, after having a stroke on June 2.
He was known by family, friends, and his community as a man of deep faith. Gord was a longtime member of Oakland Christian Reformed Church, where he was involved in the consistory and was also a cadet counselor for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, camping, his horses and buggies, and finding treasures for his cowboy museum.
Gord retired after many years at Haworth as a tool and die engineer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Duimstra; his in-laws, Gerald and Marion Kruithof; his sister and brother-in-law, Elaine (Duimstra) and Roger Brower, and son-in-law Ken Hertz.
Gord is survived by his wife, Connie Duimstra, and children, Diane (Duimstra) and Robert Hoekstra, Susan (Duimstra) and Gary Vredeveld, Lisa (Duimstra) Hertz, Jon and Cindy Duimstra; 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill and Shari Duimstra; and sister-in-law, Ruth Kruithof, all of whom loved him very much.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland. The memorial service to honor the life of Gord will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Oakland Christian Reformed Church, 4460 38th St., Hamilton. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Love INC.

David Fagerstrom
August 20, 1944-May 28, 2026
David R. Fagerstrom, age 81, stepped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 28, 2026, under the care of Heritage Nursing & Rehab in Zeeland and Corewell Health Hospice.
He was born on August 20, 1944, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Roy and Doris Fagerstrom. Dave graduated from Holland High School. He went on to build a career working in the boating industry, Chris Craft, and ended his career at Fleetwood Furniture, along with owning Sun Island and Haircare for 34 years. Dave will be remembered for his warm spirit, his strong work ethic, and his ability to talk to anyone around him.
Dave was a man of steady faith. He loved the Lord and made it a priority to bring his family to church every week, passing down a meaningful foundation to his children. Genuinely personable and easy to talk to, Dave was always ready with a kind word, a warm smile, or an encouraging conversation for anyone he crossed paths with.
Dave was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many.
He was preceded in death just nine months ago by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marcia Fagerstrom.
Together, they raised three children, Scott (Amy) Fagerstrom, Heidi (Todd) Berens, and Nicole (Derek) Prins. He was an incredibly proud grandfather to Brie (Geoff) Rouwhorst, Curtis Berens, Victoria (Spencer) Boeve, Marcus Brown, and Simon, Scarlett, and Iris Prins; step-grandchildren, Tiyana Eklund and Shaelyn Espuet; and step-great-grandchild Tevea Espuet. He is also survived by his brother, Doug (Donna) Fagerstrom, and their daughter, Darci (Jay) and her children, Kyra and Arlie.
While his family will miss his presence deeply, they find immense comfort in knowing he is now at peace, free from pain, and reunited with his beautiful wife in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home on 16th Street. The celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Harderwyk Ministries, 1627 W. Lakewood Blvd., Holland, with lunch to follow.
Dad was known for wearing bright colors and bringing a little extra brightness wherever he went. In his honor, those attending the visitation or celebration of life are welcome to wear blue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Church.

Lorraine Faye Hillard
August 11, 1941-May 28, 2026
Lorraine Faye Hillard (Lori) passed away May 28, 2026, at Grand Village Assisted Living in Grandville, Michigan.
She was born on August 11, 1941, to Jack and Clara Hoffman.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sheryl Haner; and brother, Richard Hoffman.
Lori is survived by her daughter, Kathy Lynn Hindenach, and brother, Roger Hoffman (Lee).
Lori was a longtime resident of Turner Lake in Middleville, Michigan and leaves many friends there.

Dr. Douglas Don Notman
March 15, 1942-May 23, 2026
Douglas D Notman, age 84, went to be with his Lord and savior on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
Dr. Notman was known by family, friends, patients, and his community as a man of deep faith, wisdom, and expertise. A lifelong outdoorsman with a deep love for nature and craftsmanship, he raised sheep for nearly 40 years and found joy in woodworking in his shop. An avid reader, he was rarely far from a good book and always had a life-changing book in hand to pass along to others.
Professionally, Dr. Douglas D. Notman was a distinguished endocrinologist who practiced and lectured throughout both the United States and Europe. He excelled in diagnosing complex cases and the interworking of the endocrine system. He enjoyed the frontiers of medical research, as well as teaching interns, residents, and the next generation of doctors. He began in the field of endocrinology after numerous fellowships and was still seeing and treating patients at age 84 through his private practice.
Dr. Notman's life was marked by his investment in people. From his early days as a Boy Scout to serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 21, the Boy Scouts had a profound role in his life. He faithfully mentored and encouraged generations of young men, as he had been. He deeply loved his family and intentionally pursued meaningful conversations that challenged and encouraged them to grow in faith, character, and wisdom.
Above all, he loved Jesus Christ and lived with a steady confidence in the promises of God. His faith shaped every area of his life, and he was at peace as he looked forward to his eternal home with his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his sons, William Notman and Jeremy Notman.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Notman; son, Hugh Notman; Hugh's children, Tyler and Beth, Paige, Parker, Brooke, and Brady; daughter, Kerrie and Jon VerLee; Kerrie and Jon's children, Ella, Easton, and Emmie; brother, Rob and Mary Notman; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be 4-6 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Holland.
Memorial services are at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Central Wesleyan Church (Chapel), 446 W. 40th St., Holland. Burial to take place in Zeeland Cemetery.

Dorothy M. Strengholt

Dorothy May Strengholt, age 93, passed away on June 7, 2026, peacefully surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on December 21, 1932, to Andrew Millard and Ruth (Rice) Millard.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Strengholt.
She is survived by her sons, Tom Strengholt and Rick Strengholt; daughter-in-law, Morna Strengholt; her grandchildren, Deb and Steve Pierce, Tammy and Brian Sherman, Jeffrey Strengholt, Travis Strengholt, Melissa and Stephan Church, and Emily and Dan Newell. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Nate Pierce, Noah Pierce, Abby Pierce, Jacob Pierce, Nicole Eldridge, Lucas Church and Elliot Church and one great-great-grandchild, Lincoln Eldridge, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
She was known for her fierce independence, competitive spirit, and unmistakable spunk. A gifted athlete throughout her life, she approached every challenge with determination and energy. Whether on the course, at the card table, or in everyday life, she loved a good competition and rarely backed down from one.
Those who knew her best will remember her as a true spitfire, strong-willed, resilient, and never afraid to speak her mind. Yet beneath that tough exterior was a deeply loving and devoted woman who was always there when her family needed her. Her unwavering support, wisdom, and presence will be greatly missed.
Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless memories she created with those she loved. Though she is no longer with us, her strength, humor, and spirited nature will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A private memorial service will be held by family.

Nancy J. Telgenhof, age 79, of Holland, passed away June 6, 2026.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at Beechwood Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. A one-hour visitation will take place prior to the service starting at 10 a.m.
