William Clorindo Felicelli
October 28, 1942-May 23, 2026
William C. Felicelli passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 83.
A beloved husband, Dad, Papa, friend and lifelong sports fan, he will be remembered for his deep family values and the enduring love story he shared with his cherished wife of 63 years, Joan.
Bill was born in Oak Park, Illinois, in 1942 during World War II. While his father was drafted just afterward to serve overseas for three years, his mother moved back to the farm in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where his beloved Nana, Nonno, and Uncle Mundo helped raise him. Bill’s foundation of family, faith, and hard work grew when his dad came back in 1945, and they settled in a close-knit Italian neighborhood with a blue-collar heart.
Sports were central to Bill’s life from the start. William “Woody” Felicelli passed on his passion for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs, sharing season tickets for decades with his son. (The 2016 Cubs and 1985, 2025 Bears brought special joy.) A natural athlete, Bill excelled in baseball and football; as a senior and standout lineman at Kenosha Bradford High, he was key to his team’s state championship in 1959.
It was during his senior year that Bill also met the love of his life, whose family moved just two doors down. Pretty and devout, 16-year-old Joan went to St. Joe Catholic High and planned to be a nun. Though his bowling didn’t impress, Bill’s good heart, manners and faith paid off. The pair married on April 27, 1963.
After high school, Bill attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and played on the Warhawks’ line until a shoulder injury changed his focus. His aptitude for business and love of cars propelled a successful 47-year career in purchasing, beginning with Joan by his side at the American Motors Corp. in Kenosha, then Detroit.
Together, Bill and Joan always put raising their daughter, Lisa, and son, David, first. Bill loved family getaways to Wisconsin lakes and Mackinac Island and vacationing to Disneyland, the Grand Canyon and other adventurous places. He was an enthusiastic participant in his kids’ busy sports lives, from driving to swim meets every weekend to coaching Lisa’s softball team and being the line coach for David’s junior high football team. He beamed watching Dave carry on his lineman’s legacy through Northville High School and Alma College.
Bill’s greatest delight was family. He celebrated the milestones and achievements of his son, daughter, and grandchildren with wholehearted pride and looked forward to the family’s annual golf outing. With Joan, he loved connecting through Fantasy Football, holiday meals, playing cards, and watching sports, the camaraderie they shared with friends and the support and peace they found through church.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Joan; daughter, Lisa (Randy) Prichard; daughter-in-law, Beth Felicelli; grandchildren Cameron (Alyse) Jensen, Eliza (Aaron) Hadley, Ava Jensen, Olivia and Dominic Felicelli; sister, Marianne Schiess; nephews Ted (Romina) Schiess, Dan (Rebecca) Schiess, and Tommy Richer; and nieces Susan Richer and Linda (Dave) Mills.
He is preceded in death by his beloved son, David Felicelli; parents, William and Irene (Fani) Felicelli; mother-in-law, Elsie Moretti; father-in-law, Anthony Moretti; brother-in-law, Ted Schiess; and sister-in-law, Lucille (Tom) Richer.
The family extends a special thank you to the teams at Rose Garden in Grandville and West Michigan Hospice, who blessed Bill and his family with their compassionate care and support.
Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to service, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI 49428.
The family welcomes memories and messages at cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.

Judith Kay Lubbers
May 28, 2026
Judith Kay Lubbers, 81, of Fillmore Township, fell peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home.
All who had the privilege of knowing her remember her most for her servant heart. She strongly believed in living out the incomprehensible love of Jesus and was a quiet light in any room, gracing everyone with her compassion, kindness, humility, tenderness and loving spirit. She joyfully went to great lengths to serve anyone in need she encountered. She found contentment in living a simple life connected to the family flower farm where she lived and worked alongside her husband, children and grandchildren over the years.
Judy adored her grandchildren and poured herself into them throughout their lives. She kept busy attending sporting events, music recitals and theater performances. She often had a grandchild on her heels as she worked in the flower fields, went for walks in the woods or sat at the end of the dock throwing food to the fish in the pond.
She was a voracious reader of every genre, often consuming two or three books a week. And while she worked in the flower fields nearly until her last days, she also enjoyed volunteering and serving her community.
Judy was born on November 9, 1944, in Holland, Michigan, to Andrew and Pearl (Bredeweg) Witteveen. She attended Zeeland Christian School and graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1962. Judy married Howard L. Lubbers in 1964, and they raised their four children on the family flower farm in Fillmore Township. She was trained in nursing at Butterworth Hospital and worked for Holland Hospital and later at Resthaven Care Center. Judy was an active member of Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard in 2022, and by her sister, Marilyn Dykstra.
She is survived by her children, Clay and Jaci Lubbers, Matt and Shelly Lubbers, Christy and Bryan Berghoef, Jon Lubbers; grandchildren, Maggie and Seth Broekhuis, Christian Lubbers, Nicholas Lubbers, Cameron Lubbers, Andrew Lubbers, Henry Berghoef, Winston Berghoef, Charles Berghoef, and Josephine Berghoef; siblings, Betty Oase, Shirley Scholten; in-laws, Bob Dykstra, Gloria and Dale Boss, Jayne Lubbers, Lola and Paul Deters, Patti Peeks; and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 259 Central Ave., Holland. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland.
Interment will be in the Lubbers family plot in East Saugatuck Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Zeeland Christian School, Holland Christian Schools, or the Outdoor Discovery Center.

Marilyn Lee (Joseph) Rezny
March 9, 1938-May 22, 2026
Marilyn Lee Rezny, age 88, of Grand Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Robbinswood Assisted Living.
She was born on March 9, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Solomon and Margaret (Truppelli) Joseph. Marilyn married Joseph Rezny on December 22, 1956, in Oceanside, New York.
Marilyn was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and faithfully attended St. Patrick - St. Anthony Catholic Parish. She started her working career as a hostess for the famous Tower of the Americas in San Antonio, Texas.
Marilyn loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit many places with Joe during his military service, including Germany, Greece, and Turkey. When her husband retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972, they moved back to Grand Haven to be near family. Marilyn retired from Food Service at North Ottawa Community Hospital at the same time as her husband, and they moved to Arizona, where they enjoyed a short retirement before Joseph's passing in 1993.
For many winters, Marilyn was a snowbird in Holiday, Florida, where her son resides. She would spend her summers in Michigan with her daughters and would keep herself busy in the winter working a job at Gloria's Boutique and Gift Shop in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
Marilyn came from a close, tight-knit family that spent the past several years caring for her needs. Some of her favorite memories included time spent traveling and going on fun getaways with her sister-in-law, Sandy Rezny. Many laughs were shared in their experiences. She also relished time spent with her significant other, Ben Sanders, before he preceded her in death.
Marilyn was an excellent Floral Designer who also worked in the floral design field and participated in many craft shows with her own beautiful creations of arrangements and wreaths. She was always a sharp dresser (her New York roots), who was very social and loved meeting people.
Marilyn loved to cook for family and friends and was well known for her world-famous tacos and burritos, which were often requested. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed yard sales and watching the Detroit Tigers and Gun Smoke episodes with her son-in-law, Captain Willis Kerridge, who always took good care of her before his passing in 2025. She also loved trying her luck at the casinos.
Marilyn will be lovingly remembered and tremendously missed by her two daughters, Pam Kerridge and Cherise (Tony) Suchecki; her son, Joe Rezny; seven beloved grandchildren: Jasmine, Cecelia, Chelsea, Joshua, Jalen, Jacob, and Arianna; several great-grandchildren; sister, Toni Ferraiuolo; brother, David (Elenore) Joseph; sisters-in-law, Sandy Rezny, Marilyn Wildrom, and Teresa Polimeni-Amoddio; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe; two brothers, James and Phillip (Cyndi) Polimeni; and her son-in-law, Captain Willis Kerridge.
The family would like to give special thanks to Bethesda and Brenda for providing loving care to Marilyn while her family was away.

Philip Ward Staal
October 1, 1935-May 20, 2026
Philip W. Staal, age 90, of Holland, stepped into eternity with the Lord on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Resthaven Care Center.
Phil embraced life with deep character and purpose. Born and raised in Zeeland, he began working at Miles Laboratories while earning a degree from Hope College. In a display of loyalty rarely seen, he stayed with Miles (now Bayer) his entire career as a research chemist. Yet, Phil maintained an unswerving commitment to his family, as seen by his showing up at any event his kids or grandkids participated in — regardless of the day, time, or travel distance. The researcher in him fueled a fascination with British sports cars, learning videography, and fixing nearly anything for anyone. His passion for playing tennis kept him active late into his life; his dry wit remained until his final days.
However, Phil's greatest love always remained focused on Carole, his wife of 69 years. "Never go to sleep without a goodnight kiss," was the advice he offered to all couples getting married.
Phil is survived by Carole; sons, Steve Staal of Holland and David (Becky) Staal of Spring Lake; and grandchildren, William Staal, Scott (Maddie) Staal, Erin (Justin) Dahm, and Amanda Staal.
Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery; a private family graveside service is being planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Resthaven Care Center in Holland.
Arrangements are by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home and condolences may be left online at langelandsterenberg.com.
