GRAND HAVEN TWP. — Authorities in Ottawa County are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 58-year-old woman who failed to return from a walk on Monday afternoon.
Kelly Marie Stewart was last seen around 3:30 p.m. on April 13, leaving her residence in Grand Haven Township.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Stewart set out for a walk in the vicinity of Pinewood Drive and Wintergreen Street on April 13, but has not been heard from since.
Investigators described Stewart as wearing an all-black ensemble at the time of her disappearance, including a full-length sweater, slacks, a hat, and glasses.
As of Tuesday, the sheriff’s office characterized the case as an active missing persons investigation.
Officials have not provided details regarding potential foul play or whether Stewart suffers from any medical conditions, but they are urging residents in the area to remain vigilant.
"This incident remains under investigation," the department said in a statement released Tuesday by Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Jacob Mucha.
The search remains centered on the residential neighborhoods of Grand Haven Township, a community located along the shores of Lake Michigan. Responding units from the sheriff’s office continue to follow leads.
Social media posts locally seem to be bringing some awareness to her absence. One poster indicated that questions or tips independently could be sent to MichiganInformed@yahoo.com.
“When someone disappears during something as routine as a walk, it creates a narrow and critical window where even the smallest detail can matter,” the post says.

As the search continues, the community is being asked to stay alert and engaged. Residents in and around Pinewood Drive and Wintergreen Street are encouraged to review any surveillance footage from Monday and to report anything that stands out, even if it seems minor. Information that feels unimportant in the moment can sometimes be exactly what investigators need to move forward.”
Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding Stewart’s whereabouts to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Silent Observer at 877-88-SILENT or via their website at mosotips.com.
