WHERE: Eighth Avenue, Byron Road to Quincy Street, Jamestown Township
WHY: Culvert replacement
BACKGROUND: On Monday, Aug. 3, the Ottawa County Road Commission will be closing Eighth Avenue between Byron Road and Quincy Street in Jamestown Township for culvert replacement work.
This project is expected to last through Aug. 28. Please note that all work is weather dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A detour route will consist of Byron Road to 24th Avenue to Quincy Street.
Road Resurfacing: Rosewood Street, 28th Avenue to 12th Avenue, Georgetown Township

WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: Beginning Aug. 3, 2026, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are expected to begin work on a resurfacing project on Rosewood Street between 28th Avenue and 12th Avenue in Georgetown Township.
Work on this project is expected to last through mid-August; however, please note that all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control during work hours. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.
