WHY: Culvert replacement
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, Oct. 20, the Ottawa County Road Commission will be closing 96th Avenue north of Blair Street in Olive/Blendon Township for culvert-replacement work.
This project is expected to last through Oct. 23. Please note that all work is weather-dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A detour route will consist of 96th Avenue to Port Sheldon Street to 88th Avenue to Tyler Street.
Road Resurfacing: Taft Street, 174th Avenue to 168th Avenue, Spring Lake Township
WHEN: Beginning the week of Oct. 19

WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: Beginning the week of Oct. 19, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are tentatively expected to begin work on a resurfacing project on Taft Street between 174th Avenue and 168th Avenue in Spring Lake Township.
Work on this project is expected to last through early November; however, please note that all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.
Road Closure: Butternut Drive at Van Buren Street, Port Sheldon Township
WHAT: Permitted road closure
WHEN: Beginning Oct. 19
WHERE: Butternut Drive at Van Buren Street, Port Sheldon Township
WHY: Water transmission line installation
BACKGROUND: Butternut Drive at Van Buren Street in Port Sheldon Township will be closed beginning Oct. 19 for the installation of a City of Wyoming water transmission line.
This closure should last through Nov. 13. Please note that all dates are tentative, and work is weather-dependent.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: The detour is from Port Sheldon Street to 152nd Avenue to New Holland Street.
