  • Ottawa County is under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29. Expect blowing snow, blustery, windy conditions, and colder temperatures. Expected accumulations are 2-7 inches; the combination of wind and snow can produce blizzard-like conditions. Wind gusts could reach 60 mph.
  • Snow will be heaviest west of U.S. 131. Roads, eand especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below a quarter mile due to falling and blowing snow. Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening.
  • Temperatures will range from the mid-20s to the low teens throughout the week.
  • Expect snow showers Tuesday through Thursday.
