GRAND HAVEN — Work is underway to remove and replace the charter fishing docks at Chinnok Pier, as Grand Haven city staff have begun the process of removing the existing docks and installing new docking infrastructure as part of ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable public waterfront facilities.
The work is expected to be finished by mid-April, in time for the upcoming boating and fishing season.

During construction, the charter dock area at Chinnok Pier will be temporarily
unavailable.
The project is aimed at enhancing the safety, durability, and usability of the docks for charter operators and visitors who enjoy one of Grand Haven's most popular waterfront destinations.

The Grand Haven Farmers Market is set to open for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 2, at Chinook Pier, with plans to move to Mulligan’s Hollow once construction starts at the conclusion of the Coast Guard Festival in early August.
The farmers market is under new vendor-led management this year, after the Chamber of Commerce Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Ferrysburg opted to exit operation this past fall.
