HOLLAND — Downtown Holland will witness a high-stakes Halloween morning chase as local nonprofit 3Sixty is set to host its inaugural Zombie Run 5K on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Centennial Park.
Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the interactive fundraising event challenges participants to complete a 5-kilometer course through Holland while avoiding volunteer "zombies" stationed along the route.
Each runner will wear a flag belt, with the objective of crossing the finish line with as many flags intact as possible. Costumes are encouraged for all participants.
All proceeds from the race will directly support 3Sixty’s community-driven development initiatives across local neighborhoods, including Eastcore, West of Washington, Montello Park and Maplewood.
"Every dollar raised stays local," said Jake Norris, executive director of 3Sixty. "It helps us keep supporting neighbor-led work in Eastcore, West of Washington, Montello Park, and Maplewood, along with events and initiatives like Tulip City Walls Mural Festival and the creation of Linear Park."

Registration is $25 per runner and includes a finisher’s medal. Participants who register by Oct. 17 will also receive a commemorative "I Survived the 2026 Zombie Run" T-shirt. Following the 5K, spectators and runners can gather at Centennial Park for post-race festivities, featuring refreshments, live music, photo booths and an awards ceremony.
3Sixty is currently seeking volunteer zombies, general event support and local business sponsors. Runners must register by Oct. 17. Registration details, volunteer sign-up forms, and sponsorship opportunities can be found at 3-sixty.org/zombie-run.
