Arbor Circle/QPR Institute: Mental Health Classes: 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Park Theatre, 248 S. River Ave., Holland. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, Refer: Three simple steps that anyone can learn to save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year, thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.

Join us for a family-friendly birding hike. Walk along the trails with one of our naturalists, who will guide you and your family in spotting and identifying birds. Learn helpful birding tips, identification techniques, and fun facts about our local feathered friends. This program is perfect for all ages and experience levels. Binoculars will be provided. Tuesday Night Rides: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Velo City Cycles, 326 S. River Ave., Holland. Join us for our weekly Tuesday Night Ride. We leave from Velo City Cycles. Hot, Spicy, Medium, Mild, and Sweet Groups will go 20-30 miles (hot is 21-plus mph, spicy is 20mph average, medium is 18-19mph average, mild is 16mph average, and sweet is 14mph). Grand Haven Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Grand Haven Farmer's Market, 301 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Fresh, Local Produce and other delights at your farmers market. For over 35 years, the Grand Haven Farmers Market has brought fresh, local produce and other artisanal foods to downtown Grand Haven. In 2026, the farm market will be managed by a number of vendors who have been at the market for dozens of years.
Holland Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Farmers Market is located at the Eighth Street Market Place in downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly picked fruits and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all natural honey and maple syrup and farm fresh cheese, eggs, and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, gourmet specialty foods and much, much more.
Tots at Tri-Cities: 10-11 a.m. at Tri-Cities Historical Museum, 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. It’s not your average story hour. Come play with us at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum as we dive into books, materials, and the Museum itself. Set your wheels of curiosity in motion with a new theme each month. Tots at Tri-Cities is our first program series for our preschool-aged explorers. It's free. "Tots" is offered the first Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. Program run time is approximately 30 minutes. Support local at our seasonal market, where West Michigan farmers offer freshly-picked fruits and vegetables, enjoy a wide variety of artisan baked goods, all-natural honey, maple syrup, farm fresh eggs, cheese, and meats. There will also be healthy snacks, micro-greens, preserves, gluten-free, vegan, dips and much, much more.
Knee-high Naturalists: 10-11:30 a.m. at Dragonflies Discovery Preschool, 30 152nd Ave., Holland. Knee-high Naturalists introduce the wonders of the natural world to young children. Crafts, activities, books, snacks, live animals, and outside exploration will be incorporated into their nature-based learning experience. Parents can drop off their 4- to 6-year-old or stay with the class. Parents or guardians are asked to attend with their 3-year-old to help with bathroom use and transitioning into a group learning environment. Suggested age range is 3-6 years old. Guardians drop children off or stay with the class. Registration is required. Register and pay for attending children only (except infants). Fee: $10 per child, $5 for members.

Stop by the De Witt Birds of Prey Center during this open-house style program and watch a naturalist feed our resident raptors. You will learn about the habitats these birds live in, some of their amazing adaptations, and what they love to eat. You can bring a snack for yourself, too. Chalk The Walk: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Bookman, 715 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. Come celebrate Sidewalk Art at the 3rd Annual Chalk the Walk. There will be a special appearance by renowned Chalk Artist David Zinn. There will be a scavenger hunt to find David's creations throughout Centertown. He will do a live demonstration at noon in front of Ver Duin's Printing Inc., 623 Washington Ave. You can meet David at The Bookman from 1:30-3 pm and buy his books and art. Anyone who wants to create chalk art on the sidewalks is invited to participate. Sand Sculpture Contest: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Grand Haven City Beach, S. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. This contest is the perfect way to spend time with friends, family, and business colleagues, while you compete individually or in teams to create the most impressive sand sculpture. A panel of local judges will be present to decide first, second and third place for each category. Beach-goers who choose to watch this exciting contest from the sidelines will also be given the opportunity to participate by casting a “people’s choice” vote. The top three sculptors from each category will be awarded. This year, we welcome back Sand Pros Sand Pirates, who will be sharing tips, tricks and demonstrations as well as Sand Fanatics who will be attempting a large-scale exhibition build. After the competition wraps up, join us as we "Storm The Castle," playfully and safely deconstructing the enormous sculpture. In collaboration with Harbor Transit, a free Park-N-Ride shuttle will be available for those wishing to take in the creativity from the shoreline. Juneteenth Freedom Festival and Market: 2-7 p.m. at Kollen Park and Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. Juneteenth is a holiday that commemorates the day in 1865 when the enslaved people of Texas finally learned that slavery had been abolished and that they were free. While Michigan recognized Juneteenth as a holiday in 2005, we in Holland have been celebrating the history of Juneteenth since 2000. Come shop the vendors, food trucks, makers, artists, crafters, and hobbyists. Let your kids play at the carnival and then visit the vendors for more activities. Don’t forget. Felt Mansion Self-Guided Tours: 2-7 p.m. at The Felt Estate, 6597 138th Ave., Holland. Explore the restored 1904 Gibson Church, the 1917 Carriage House, as well as the 1928 mansion and grounds. Please park at the wooden pylons or white-chained grassy parking area, and enter the mansion through the front door (pillared entrance on the East side of the mansion) to pay your admission fee, and then explore all three buildings and the grounds at your leisure. $5-10.

Live Music and Food Truck Tuesdays: 5-7 p.m. at Midtown Center, 96 W. 15th St., Holland. Join us at the Midtown Center to enjoy community, food, and live performances. Each week, one local food truck and band will be showcasing delicious eats and lively performances. Limited seating is available onsite, but to ensure a spot, feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
Tuesday Night Rides: 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Velo City Cycles, 326 S. River Ave., Holland. Join us for our weekly Tuesday Night Ride. We leave from Velo City Cycles. Hot, Spicy, Medium, Mild, and Sweet Groups will go 20-30 miles (Hot is 21-plus mph, Spicy is 20mph average, Medium is 18-19mph average, Mild is 16mph average, and Sweet is 14mph).
