Dry weather and rising temperatures are expected to continue this week.

The stretch of dry weather and lower humidity that many across the Great Lakes have enjoyed over the weekend will persist through much of this week as an area of high pressure remains in control.

The next chance for rain will be Saturday and possibly the following Monday.

• Monday: Pleasant with periods of clouds and sunshine, with a high of 73 degrees. Tonight, clear skies with a low of 52 degrees.
• Tuesday: Pleasant with plenty of sun; high of 76 degrees. In the evening, expect clear skies with a low of 51 degrees.
• Wednesday: Mostly sunny and pleasant with a high of 73 degrees. In the evening, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 56 degrees.
• Thursday: Warm with some sunshine; high of 78 degrees. In the evening, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 62 degrees.
• Friday: Breezy in the morning; variable cloudiness with a thunderstorm possible. High of 76 degrees. In the evening, expect partly cloudy skies with a low of 61 degrees.
