GRAND RAPIDS — It’s rolled out as a beloved Tuesday tradition, giving Michigan artists a chance to perform on the same picturesque stage as international stars of pop, rock and R&B.

And it all starts up again next week.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park brings back its popular Tuesday Evening Music Club series with 12 summer concerts for 2026 – starting June 2 with the Motown Sound tribute to Motown Records and concluding on Aug. 25 with the return of the Grand Rapids Ballet.

In between, the series will feature Michigan acts unfurling rock (Chris Cranick and Phabies on June 9), electronic music (Blüejay and Tarrow on July 7), jazz (Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra and Northview High School Jazz Band on Aug. 18), world music (Zondo, Samuel Nalangira and Nathan Moore Affair on June 30) and more.

The 7 p.m. concerts – which are free to Meijer Gardens members, with others paying regular admission fees to Meijer Gardens – attract hordes of families and fans of all ages who can also wander the gardens as part of the evening events.

As a supplement to the main Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts series starring national touring acts – which kicked off May 27 with a tour stop by O.A.R. – the Tuesday Evening Music Club shows first launched by singer-songwriter Ralston Bowles more than 20 years ago, provide high-profile exposure for local and regional acts covering a wide ranges of genres.

The 2026 series features the return of oldies acts Franklin Park and The 6-Pak, as well as sets by blues guitarist Jake Kershaw and the Latin folk-inspired Duron Family Band (July 21), horn-infused R&B favorite Soul Syndicate (July 28), Holland folk ensemble Michigan I-O (Aug. 4) and the New Orleans-inspired Great Lakes Brass (Aug. 11).

Sponsored in part by WYCE (88.1 FM) and Corporate Live, gates open for the Tuesday Evening Music Club shows at the 1,900-capacity amphitheater at 5 p.m.
