Wilson Street
WHEN: Beginning the week of May 11
WHERE: Wilson Street, 130th Avenue to 112th Avenue, Crockery Township
WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: Beginning the week of May 11, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are tentatively scheduled to begin work on a resurfacing project on Wilson Street between 130th Avenue and 112th Avenue in Crockery Township.
Work is expected to last through early June 2026; however, all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures under flag control during work hours. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.
144th Avenue
WHAT: Permitted road closure
DURATION: May 12-22
WHERE: 144th Avenue, New Holland Street to Quincy Street, Holland Township
WHY: Storm sewer installation
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, May 12, 144th Avenue from New Holland Street to Quincy Street in Holland Township will be closed for permitted storm sewer installation work.
This closure is estimated to last through May 22; however, all work is weather-dependent, and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A detour route will consist of New Holland Street to 136th Avenue to Quincy Street.
Howard Avenue
WHAT: Permitted road closure
DURATION: May 11-25
WHERE: Howard Avenue, Jefferson Street to North River Avenue, Holland Township
WHY: BPW transmission main inspection
BACKGROUND: On Monday, May 11, Howard Ave. from Jefferson Street to North River Avenue in Holland Township will be closed for permitted BPW transmission main inspection work.
This closure is estimated to last through May 25; however, all work is weather-dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A detour route will consist of Jefferson Street to Douglas Avenue to North River Avenue.
Pierce Street
WHAT: Permitted road closure
WHERE: Pierce Street, 52nd Avenue to 60th Avenue, and 56th Avenue, M-45 to Alger Street, Allendale Township.
WHY: Permitted road construction
BACKGROUND: On Monday, May 11, the current Pierce Street closure from 52nd Avenue to 56th Avenue in Allendale Township will be extended to include the intersection of 56th Avenue/Pierce Street.
As a result of this extension, both Pierce Street between 52nd Avenue and 60th Avenue, as well as 56th Avenue between M-45 and Alger Street, will be closed for permitted road construction work.
This closure is estimated to last until June 12; however, all work is weather-dependent, and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A new detour route will consist of 60th Avenue to Alger Street to 56th Avenue to Fillmore Street to 48th Avenue.
