WHERE: Eighth Avenue, Lincoln Street to Leonard Street, Tallmadge Township
WHY: Culvert replacement
BACKGROUND: On Monday, Sept. 28, the Ottawa County Road Commission will be closing Eighth Avenue between Lincoln Street and Leonard Street in Tallmadge Township for culvert-replacement work.
This project is expected to last through Sept. 30. Please note that all work is weather-dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: A detour route will consist of Lincoln Street to 14th Avenue to Leonard Street.
Road Resurfacing: Baldwin Street, 20th Avenue to Cottonwood Drive, Georgetown Township

WHY: Road resurfacing
BACKGROUND: Beginning the week of Sept. 28, 2026, contractors for the Ottawa County Road Commission are tentatively expected to begin work on a resurfacing project on Baldwin Street between 20th Avenue and Cottonwood Drive in Georgetown Township.
Work on this project is expected to last through late October; however, please note that all work is weather-dependent, and completion dates are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Traffic will be maintained using temporary lane closures. Be prepared for possible delays when traveling through this area while work is taking place.
