Bridge replacement: Jamestown Township
On April 22, Adams Street between 40th Avenue and 36th Avenue in Jamestown Township will be closed for a bridge replacement project on the Adams Street Bridge over the Kampen Struk Drain.

BACKGROUND: On April 22, Adams Street between 40th Avenue and 36th Avenue in Jamestown Township will be closed for a bridge replacement project on the Adams Street Bridge over the Kampen Struk Drain.
Work will consist of the removal of the existing bridge superstructure, construction of the bridge substructure units, construction of the new bridge superstructure, construction of the approach roadway on both sides of the bridge, placement of the new asphalt surface on both approaches, installation of guardrail elements, and painting and placing the permanent pavement markings on the new asphalt surface.
This project is estimated to be completed in its entirety on or before Nov. 6. All work is weather-dependent and completion times are subject to change.
TRAFFIC IMPACT: Adams Street will be closed between 40th Avenue and 36th Avenue. A posted detour route will be in effect throughout the project’s entire duration using Ottawa County’s primary road system. The detour route for each direction of travel along Adams Street is as follows:

Eastbound Adams Street: Northbound on 40th Avenue/Eastbound on Byron Road/Southbound on 24th Avenue.
Westbound Adams Street: Northbound on 24th Avenue/Westbound on Byron Road/Southbound on 40th Avenue.
