Chance of a strong to severe T-storm. Get Bill Steffen's forecast
Early Tuesday through Thursday likely will be dry.

As I write this, the Storm Prediction Center has a fairly large level 2 Slight Risk Area over the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. It includes all but the western tip of the Upper Peninsula, where there is a level 1 Marginal Risk. The main threat is isolated strong wind. Storms that form will move from northwest to southeast.
We need rain. Grand Rapids has had just 0.10 inches of rain in the past 22 days — a very dry period.
Once again it will be cooler near Lake Michigan. The high temperature yesterday (Sunday) was 88 degrees in Grand Rapids, but just 75 degrees at the Muskegon Pier. At the South Haven Lighthouse, the high temperature was 80, but that didn’t occur until 8-9 p.m. when the wind shifted and started coming off the land.

Here’s the forecast total rainfall over the next 3 days. The heaviest rain will fall along the east side of the state.

The forecast three-day rainfall shows a half inch for Grand Rapids, with a little more rain south of Grand Rapids than to the north.

Once again it’ll be a bit on the humid side today with inland high temperatures in the low-mid 80s and lakeshore temperatures reaching the mid-upper 70s.

Tuesday we’ll see decreasing clouds with highs in the low 80s (again a touch cooler near Lake Michigan. It should be a nice evening with pleasant weather to follow for Wednesday and Thursday.
