Coast Guard cutters dock in Grand Haven for 2026 festival

GRAND HAVEN — The U.S. Coast Guard Cutters Mackinaw, Neah Bay and decommissioned Sundew will be featured in Escanaba Park as part of the U.S. Coast Guard Festival.

The two ships that came up the Grand River early were the Mackinaw and Neah Bay and will be open for tours during the festival.
Though the weather wasn't ideal on Monday, the forecast through Thursday is pleasant and dry. Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday.

U.S. Coast Guard cutters will remain in Grand Haven through the end of the annual Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival, which concludes on August 2, 2026. The ships arrived and docked along the waterfront on July 27 and will stay for the duration of the 10-day festival.
