Grand Haven Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Grand Haven Farmers Market, 301 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Fresh, local produce and other delights at your farmers market. For over 35 years, the Grand Haven Farmers Market has brought fresh, local produce and other artisanal foods to downtown Grand Haven. In 2026, the farm market will be managed by a number of vendors who have been at the market for dozens of years.
Holland Farmers Market: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth St., Holland. The Holland Farmers Market is at the Eighth Street Market Place in downtown Holland and is home to over 75 vendors throughout the season. Local farmers offer freshly picked fruits and vegetables of every variety, beautiful bouquets of flowers and plants for home and garden. A wide variety of baked goods (including breads, pies and cookies), all-natural honey and maple syrup and farm-fresh cheese, eggs and meats are also available, in addition to sweet treats, gourmet specialty foods and much, much more.
Tots at Tri-Cities: 10-11 a.m. at Tri-Cities Historical Museum, 200 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. It’s not your average story hour. Come play with us at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum as we dive into books, materials and the museum itself. Set your wheels of curiosity in motion with a new theme each month. Tots at Tri-Cities is our first program series for our preschool-aged explorers. Free.
How I Became a Pirate: 10-11 a.m. at Hope Repertory Theatre, 141 E. 12th St., Holland. Join us in the outside amphitheater (area outside DeWitt Main Stage) while we set sail for adventure in "How I Became a Pirate," a swashbuckling musical that is perfect for the whole family. $15 for all ages.
Felt Mansion Self-Guided Tours: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Felt Estate, 6597 138th Ave., Holland. Explore the restored 1904 Gibson Church, the 1917 Carriage House, as well as the 1928 mansion and grounds. Please park at the wooden pylons or white-chained grassy parking area, and enter the mansion through the front door (pillared entrance on the east side of the mansion) to pay your admission fee, and then explore all three buildings and the grounds at your leisure. $5-10.
Outdoor Artist Studio: 10:30 a.m. at Frederik Meijer Gardens, 1000 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. Explore outdoors with an artist’s eye. Join local artists for engaging informal art experiences inspired by Chihuly’s use of color, natural forms and global influences. Get creative with everyday materials while experimenting with color, shape and texture — just like artists do. Included with general admission.

Big Red Racing Series: 6-8:30 p.m. at 2215 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Wednesday Night Sailboat Races … now called Big Red Racing Series. Bayshore Yacht Club co-hosts the largest Wednesday night sailboat racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. You may watch the sailboats leaving Lake Macatawa and heading out the channel to the big lake. There is a designated race course with multiple start times. Be on the lookout for the colorful spinnakers as they round the mark heading downwind. Watch from Holland State Park, 2215 Ottawa Beach Road. 616-335-5815. Recreation pass or day-use permit required.
Speaker Series: “Trees”: 7-8:30 p.m. at 2282 Ottawa Beach Road, Holland. Wally Ewing's presentation about his new book, “Trees,” in which four local authors turned their curiosity to trees in and around Grand Haven. Larry Romanelli, William Martinus, Wallace Ewing, and Lawrence Burns explore the intersection of the history of trees with narratives about their appeal, nature, and incalculable value. Learn how connected the realm of trees is with human history and the sustainable relationship we have with them. Enter the world of trees and discover just how powerful they are. Spring Lake Farmers Market: 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Tanglefoot Park, 312 W. Exchange, Spring Lake. The Spring Lake Farm & Garden Market features local, Michigan-grown produce, fresh flowers, artisan cheeses, baked goods, and meats, providing farmers and small business owners an opportunity to sell their fresh produce directly to customers.
Celebrating Eagles: 10-11 a.m. at Outdoor Discovery Center, 4214 56th St., Holland. In celebration of Independence Day, the whole family is invited to meet one of our nation’s most iconic symbols in the feather. Get an up-close look at our resident bald eagle and their cousin, the golden eagle. Learn about what these awesome animals like to eat, where they live, and how strong they are. Plan on a 10-15 minute self-walk from the main entrance to the De Witt Birds of Prey Center prior to the start of the program or park at the North Trailhead (5658 143rd Ave., Holland), and plan on a five-minute self-walk to the DeWitt Birds of Prey Center prior to the start of the class. All ages welcome. Guardians stay with the class. Registration is not required, but appreciated. Register and pay for all people attending the program (except infants). Fee: $6 per person (20% discount for members).
Summer Crafts: 11 a.m.-noon at West Side Park, 2152 Lakeshore Drive, Fennville. Join us for a crafting session filled with fun summer-themed projects. We’ll take inspiration from the sights, colors and textures of the season, using nature as our guide to create bright and beautiful crafts. Join us for energizing Saturday morning yoga sessions on the edge of Lake Macatawa. These all-level outdoor classes welcome everyone in a peaceful lakeside setting. Netherlands “Klok” Runs at Noon: Noon at Holland Museum, 31 W. 10th St., Holland. See the wonderful moving parts of the Netherlands “Klok” from the 1939 World’s Fair. The Klok runs on the first Saturday of every month at noon for one minute. (Included with Holland Museum admission.)
4th of July Fireworks: Noon-10 p.m. at Kollen Park + Heinz Waterfront Walkway, 240 Kollen Park Drive, Holland. Fireworks will light up the sky over Lake Macatawa this Fourth of July. The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council is hosting this year’s Fourth of July fireworks at Kollen Park. Bring your family and friends, a blanket or chair, and enjoy the Independence Day celebration. Fireworks will begin at dark, but food trucks will be serving throughout the day. And be sure to celebrate and save in downtown Holland, where participating businesses will be offering 20% off discounts to customers wearing red, white and blue.

Books and Blooms: 10-11:30 a.m. at Windmill Island Gardens, 1 Lincoln Ave., Holland. Join us at Windmill Island Gardens for the return of our children’s summer series, Books and Blooms. Our friends from the Herrick District Library will kick off each Books and Blooms with a story time followed by a fun hands-on activity led by community partners. Families can enjoy activities and learn about things like planting, water conservation, wind, pollinators, and more. Books and Blooms are free for all to attend. Just mention the event at the admission booth to join in on the fun. Books and Blooms will take place outside in the grass on the east side of the Posthouse. A parent/guardian must remain present at all times.
Food Truck Mondays: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Windmill Island Gardens, 1 Lincoln Ave., Holland. Calling all Foodies. We are excited to launch an all-new summer Food Truck Monday series at Windmill Island Gardens. Each Monday in July, stop by Windmill Island Gardens for lunch to pick from two delicious local food truck options. Stay and eat in our picnic shelter, have a picnic in the park, or take your lunch to go, every Monday, all July long.

Join us for an evening of fun, laughter, and memorable moments as you explore various activities, performances, and attractions designed to engage and captivate audiences of all ages. Don’t miss out on the summer excitement.

Hosted by Jesse, this laid-back evening is open to everyone — musicians, comedians, poets and performers of all kinds are welcome. He will do a live demonstration at noon in front of Ver Duin's Printing Inc., 623 Washington Ave. You can meet David at The Bookman from 1:30-3 p.m. and buy his books and art. Anyone who wants to create chalk art on the sidewalks is invited to participate. Bayshore Yacht Club co-hosts the largest Wednesday night sailboat racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. You may watch the sailboats leaving Lake Macatawa and heading out the channel to the big lake. There is a designated race course with multiple start times. Chalk The Walk: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Bookman, 715 Washington Ave., Grand Haven. Come celebrate Sidewalk Art at the Third Annual Chalk the Walk. There will be a special appearance by renowned Chalk Artist David Zinn. There will be a scavenger hunt to find David's creations throughout Centertown. He will do a live demonstration at noon in front of Ver Duin's Printing Inc., 623 Washington Ave. You can meet David at The Bookman from 1:30-3 p.m. and buy his books and art. Museum on the Move: Archaeology in Action: 10-11:30 a.m. at 1076 E. 16th St., Holland. Explore the history of VanRaalte Farm Park on this guided walking tour highlighting the legacy of the Van Raalte family. The tour includes a stop at an active archaeological dig site, where visitors can view recent discoveries, learn about the excavation process, and even take part in the dig. This tour takes place entirely outdoors, covering approximately 1 mile. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated along the way. For the comfort of all guests, we kindly ask that pets remain at home. $5 for members, $10 for non-members.
Books and Blooms: 10-11:30 a.m. at Windmill Island Gardens, 1 Lincoln Ave., Holland. Join us at Windmill Island Gardens for the return of our children’s summer series, Books and Blooms. Our friends from the Herrick District Library will kick off each Books and Blooms with a story time followed by a fun hands-on activity led by community partners. Families can enjoy activities and learn about things like planting, water conservation, wind, pollinators, and more. Books and Blooms are free for all to attend. Bayshore Yacht Club co-hosts the largest Wednesday night sailboat racing fleet this side of Lake Michigan. Public Star Gazing: 8-10 p.m. at Hemlock Crossing, 8115 West Olive Road, West Olive. The observatory is open from 8-11 p.m. (weather and clear sky permitting). There are no entry fees. Please be aware that the park gate closes automatically at 10 p.m. sharp; therefore, visitors must arrive before then to enter the park. Visible night sky objects: planets, the Moon, deep sky objects like galaxies, star clusters and planetary nebulae.
Live music: 8-11 p.m. at Hops at 84 East, 84 E. Eighth St., Holland. Rotating selection of musicians performing live in our beautiful tap room every Friday and Saturday night.

Grand Haven Musical Fountain (Coast Guard Festival Fountain & Drone Show): 10:10-10:40 p.m. at Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium, 1 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Get ready, fans; tonight’s show includes the Musical Fountain and a drone performance. Note: All playlists are subject to change based on production needs.
