OTTAWA COUNTY — Week 3 brought major shifts across Ottawa County high school football on Friday, Sept. 11, highlighted by dominant broad-margin wins, thrilling overtime finishes, and a reshuffling of regional standings.
In the marquee Ottawa-Kent Red clash, the Hudsonville Eagles handed Grand Haven its first loss of the season with a commanding 42-14 victory, moving to 1-0 in conference play.
The Coopersville Broncos survived a road trip to Petoskey, grinding out a 20-17 victory in overtime to remain undefeated at 3-0.
Stacking a 50-22 blowout win on the road, Unity Christian pulled off a four-touchdown victory over Zeeland East, keeping its playoff trajectory strong while dropping Zeeland East to 2-1.
Meanwhile, Zeeland West posted a clean 24-0 shutout against Canada's New Market Huron Heights, moving to 3-0 on the year alongside Coopersville as the county's only remaining unbeaten teams.
