Week 7
It was a night of statement wins and defensive clinics across Ottawa County, anchored by a pair of jaw-dropping shutouts that shifted the local high school football landscape.
In the week’s marquee matchup, two regional heavyweights collided with immense hype — only for Zeeland West to turn it into a one-sided masterpiece.
The Dux delivered a relentless defensive performance, suffocating Unity Christian in a 36-0 shutout.
Not to be outdone, cross-town rival Zeeland East engineered its own defensive masterclass, dismantling Wyoming 55-0.
Meanwhile, Hudsonville proved its early-season stumbles are firmly in the rearview mirror. The Eagles flexed their muscle in a 63-0 rout of Jenison, pairing an explosive offensive display with a lockdown defense. The dominant victory reinforced Hudsonville’s standing among the state's elite, where they currently hold the No. 19 spot in MaxPreps’ Michigan Top 25 rankings.
Through all the marquee blowouts, Coopersville quietly kept its historic run alive. With a decisive victory over Greenville, the Broncos solidified their standing as the lone remaining undefeated team in Ottawa County.
Rounding out the action, Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Saugatuck all picked up key victories to cap off a thrilling slate of Friday night football.
