WHITE CHRISTMAS? Bill Steffen's weekday forecast: Dec. 22-26

• It's looking unlikely for a classic snowy white Christmas in Ottawa County for 2025, with current forecasts predicting mild, above-normal temperatures and rain/melting snow. There might be a chance for some light, temporary snow before Christmas Day itself, especially with lake-effect, but the warmth is expected to melt most of it, making for a "green Christmas" likely. 
• Today, there's a chance for light snow.
• Temperatures will gradually warm through the week, peaking at about 47 degrees on Friday.
• Christmas Day will be about 45 degrees with a chance of rain.
• No big storms are predicted this week.
