Sheriff's Office: Missing Grand Haven Twp woman found alive, expected to make full recovery
A 58-year-old missing Grand Haven Township woman has been found alive three days after she went for a walk and never returned from her home.
OTTAWA COUNTY — A 58-year-old missing Grand Haven Township woman has been found alive three days after she went for a walk and never returned from her home.
The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said that Kelly Stewart was found by local residents at about 4 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in the 12800 block of 144th Avenue in Grand Haven Township.
Stewart was transported to a local hospital for treatment related to exposure, but is expected to survive, police said.

Stewart left her Grand Haven Township home near Pinewood Drive and Wintergreen Street to go for a walk around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13, and never returned.
Her disappearance kicked off a three-day search and included the use of drones. Local weather also saw severe storms on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police said Thursday that Stewart became disoriented and sought shelter near an unoccupied home in the area.
They credited local media coverage as being critical, as the residents who found Stewart recognized her and knew she was missing; that enabled them to immediately contact first responders.
