GEORGETOWN TWP. — Two drivers were hospitalized Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision on 44th Street that shut down westbound traffic for approximately an hour, authorities said.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, emergency crews responded to the scene just west of Kenowa Avenue at 1:28 p.m. on May 18.

An initial investigation revealed that a 21-year-old Wyoming woman was traveling westbound on 44th Street in a Hyundai Elantra when an eastbound Chrysler Town & Country, driven by a 73-year-old Hudsonville man, turned left directly into her path.
